Visit Wat Mai Amataros

- Wat Mai Amataros was built during the Thonburi period around 1778. The name of the founder is unknown. It was granted the Wisungkhama Sima in 1778. Originally, the temple was named Wat Waramatara but was later changed to Wat Amatayaros or Wat Amritaros in 1917. Between 1868-1870, the temple underwent renovations initiated by Somdet Phra Phutthachan (To Brahmaramsi) during the reign of King Rama V. A road was constructed through the middle of the temple, dividing it into two: Wat Bang Khun Phrom Nok (Wat Mai Amataros) and Wat Bang Khun Phrom Nai (Wat Intharaviharn).
