Head north along the central axis to visit the Jiuzhou Qingyan Scenic Area, where the royal family once lived, and admire the grandeur and delicacy of the royal architecture. Then head to the iconic building of Yuanmingyuan Park, the Great Fountain, a group of fountains imitating Western architectural styles. Although it has been destroyed, you can still feel its former glory. Along the east line, you can visit the Wanfang Anhe and Kuoran Dagong scenic areas, where there are many imitated Jiangnan gardens, showcasing the diversity and inclusiveness of the royal gardens. Along the west line, you can visit the ruins of Fangwai Guan and Haiyan Hall, and feel the vicissitudes of history of Yuanmingyuan Park. Finally, don't miss the Fuhai Scenic Area of Yuanmingyuan Park, where the royal family used to go boating. The surrounding scenery is pleasant, making it a great place for taking photos.
