It seems like a hidden 'Altay' for Hunan people, waiting for every traveler to explore. Driving from Longhui, it's just a short two-hour journey. Even novice drivers can handle it easily. Although the mountain road is winding, the road conditions are good. Just drive slowly to enjoy the scenery along the way. The moment you arrive, it feels like you've entered another world. The breeze is cool and pleasant, but remember, the UV rays here are not to be underestimated. Make sure to take adequate sun protection measures, or you might end up like me, with a sunburned neck, adding a small episode to your trip. The cattle in Nanshan Pasture are leisurely and unafraid of people. They often stroll casually on the road, making us chuckle and even get out of the car to interact with them, experiencing the fun of 'herding cattle.' The magnificent scenery of Maoping Reservoir is even more captivating. Standing by the water, every snapshot is a masterpiece. Boating on the lake is extremely enjoyable, as if time has slowed down. On the way back, the freshness and tranquility of Shili Taoyuan added more fun to our journey. Children played in the shallow water, their laughter and the sound of water creating the most beautiful melody, safe and full of joy. Of course, the fresh milk and yogurt from Nanshan Pasture are also not to be missed, especially the fried fresh milk, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, leaving a lasting impression (but remember to eat it while it's hot). The only downside was a small mishap when dining in the town. The dishes were mediocre in taste and not cost-effective, but this did not diminish our positive impression of Nanshan Pasture. After all, the meaning of travel lies in the experience and feeling, and what Nanshan Pasture gave us was the grandeur and tranquility of standing above the clouds, overlooking the world. Overall, Nanshan Pasture is definitely worth a visit. Despite the winding mountain roads, it is these twists and turns that make us cherish the moment of standing on the mountain top even more.
