Wat Umong or Suan Phuttha Tham is located on Suthep Road, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. It was built during the Mangrai period in 1839. Later, Phaya Kue Na He built a tunnel here for Phra Maha Therachan to use as a place for meditation. The internal walls are therefore multiple passages that can pass through each other. There are also ancient wall paintings inside the tunnel as well. Tourists often come to see the beauty inside the tunnel. and take beautiful photos back from this corner of the temple At the top of the tunnel is the 700-year-old chedi of Lanna art. It is assumed that it was built around the beginning of the 20th Buddhist century. The surrounding area is beautiful with many trees. The atmosphere is very refreshing and shady, especially during the rainy season when lush green moss will cover the area around the temple, pagoda and in front of the tunnel.
