A hidden gem garden restaurant with the best food in Chiang Rai, highly recommended!

Who knew Chiang Rai had such a beautiful restaurant? Every day is full of surprises when traveling in Thailand. This restaurant is said to be a must-visit in Chiang Rai, and it's very popular among locals, so I had to check it out. The restaurant is called Chivit Thamma Da Coffee House, Bistro & Bar, which my friend translated as "Life Comes Slowly" or "Ordinary Life," which I think is a very interesting name. The restaurant is located on the banks of the Mekong River, very close to the famous Blue Temple in Chiang Rai, about a 5-minute walk away. Many people come here for coffee and dessert, and spend the whole afternoon here. I noticed that many of them were European and American tourists. The restaurant is a complete French manor, surrounded by front and back gardens, with a white house hidden among the greenery, which is very fresh and artistic, just like the feeling Chiang Rai gives me. There is a beautiful balcony on the second floor, and we had lunch outside on the second floor, which was a great atmosphere. The waiters all speak English, so there's no need to worry about communication. I always thought that internet-famous restaurants relied on their looks and had average food, but every dish here was delicious, and I didn't make a single bad choice. Even the stir-fried cabbage was good. This restaurant is definitely one of those "restaurants that could rely on their looks, but choose to rely on their food." Chiang Rai is not hot at all in December, and the temperature is very comfortable. Chiang Rai is about a 3-hour drive from Chiang Mai, so if you come to Chiang Rai, you can try this restaurant, which is not expensive. Restaurant hours: 9:00 am–10:00 pm
