Organ Church｜Flew to Copenhagen for this church

Organ Church, originally named Grundtvig's Church, is located in Copenhagen, Denmark. This church is one of the few expressionist-style churches and is one of the famous churches in Copenhagen. The church was built to commemorate the Danish theologian, writer, and poet Grundtvig. Because the exterior of the church resembles an organ, locals affectionately call it the 'Organ Church.' The church was designed by the famous Danish designer Jensen Klint. The interior of the church is typically Gothic but without any decorations, which helps to highlight the verticality of Gothic architecture. It also expresses the purity of modernist space and has a modern minimalist aesthetic tendency. In addition to its organ-like exterior, the church also has a spectacular organ at the west end of the nave. The largest pipe weighs 425 kilograms and is 11 meters long, making it the largest in the entire Nordic region. -
