Thunder at Mogan Mountain

To summarize, there are roughly three ways to enjoy Mogan Mountain, all of which allow entry to the scenic area: Ticket + shuttle bus: purely leisurely, entering through the normal visitor center, should be relatively easy, suitable for travelers who want to take photos; Ticket only: going through Jiang Gong Ancient Trail, charged at Jianchi; Free of charge: going the opposite way through Jiang Gong Ancient Trail, entering from Mogao Wu, passing Naked Heart Castle and Jianchi, and finally descending via Jiang Gong Ancient Trail; We took the third way, which might be due to inexperience or the heat, it felt like a life-threatening experience. The last 2 kilometers of Jiang Gong Ancient Trail are all stones and sandy roads (see the last 3 pictures), and even with hiking shoes and trekking poles, we slipped many times. We originally planned to go for photography, but it definitely turned into a hike. The free red maple area was extremely crowded. There are many places to eat on the mountain, but we couldn’t stop due to time constraints. The mountain roads open to vehicles are very unfriendly to tourists, with no separate pedestrian paths, requiring us to weave through traffic, which is very unsafe. I had long admired Mogan Mountain before, but after this trip, well~ it’s really not that great. I rarely warn against places, but if I do, it’s because I just can’t hold back!!
