Amazing Sakura in Goryokaku

#cherryblossom2024 The star-shaped Goryokaku garden is one of the most famous cherry blossom spots in Hakodate, Hokkaido. From the observatory at the top of Goryokaku tower, the pink star shaped park looks amazing. There are many different sakura trees spread around the park with the popular weeping cherry tree/ shidarezakura, somei yoshino and yamazakura. During the Sakura season, one can enjoy a lovely picnic in the park. Please bring a mat, some snacks and wine to enjoy.
