On the third day in Iceland, we had another full day of activities. In the morning, we visited Kerið Crater Lake. The autumn weather was excellent, allowing us to see the entire crater lake, which would be frozen in winter. The crater lake was formed by a volcanic eruption 6,500 years ago and is 50 meters deep. The panoramic view from the top of the mountain is beautiful. Due to the minerals and water depth, the lake's color is a blue-green hue. You can walk around the top of the mountain or along the lakeside trail, making it a favorite spot for many photographers in Iceland. Tips: Parking is free, but you need to buy an entrance ticket at the gate. **It is said that after 5 pm, the ticket seller goes off duty, and it becomes free to enter.^^ Second stop: Seljalandsfoss (also known as the Water Curtain Cave Waterfall) and the hidden waterfall Gljufrabui inside. However, the powerful spray from the waterfall will drench you, so remember to wear waterproof clothing! Third stop: Skogafoss Rainbow Waterfall Feel the awe-inspiring power of the waterfall from below. It is grand and magnificent. Moreover, if you encounter sunny weather, you have a 95% chance of seeing a rainbow.
