Interesting boat houses at Ine Bay

We visited the boat houses at Ine Bay, as part of a tour package that includes Amanohashidate (40-min away) as well. Check out my other post on Amanohashidate. Back to Ine, it’s a quaint seaside village with many boat houses. These houses have a unique architecture whereby the ground level is for their fishing boats, while the upper level is the living space. The village is quite small and you can walk through it in minutes. There is a sightseeing boat ride which takes about 20 min around the bay. Before boarding, you can purchase prawn snacks (100 yen per pack) to feed the seagulls. Once the boat starts, it will be swarmed by gulls. Be mindful that there are occasional eagles which may go for the snacks too, which is not desirable as they will cause injuries with their claws. #ine #inenofunaya #inefishingvillage #funaya
