Old Chen and I: Isn't this Jingdezhen's Hali Market? :) The main street is pretty much the same east to west, feeling like a street of industrial mass-produced wholesale goods. But if you venture into the small alleys on either side and explore the little shops, there's a whole world inside—more original designs and handmade items, which are more interesting but also pricier. So here there are two strategies: lowest price or most unique. If you find something you like among the mass-produced items on the main street, don’t rush—ask around at a few shops and bargain; you must get it at the rock-bottom price. The shops with good taste mainly focus on paying for design and uniqueness.
