Day 1: Railway Memories and Nostalgic Journey Arriving at Mojiko Station in the early morning, a wooden building exuding the charm of the Showa era comes into view. This century-old station is rich in historical flavor, as if every floorboard tells the stories of past travelers. Strolling through the vintage waiting room, admiring the exquisite window frames and old-fashioned chandeliers, it feels like stepping back in time. Lunch is at a nearby nostalgic restaurant, savoring the local specialty curry. In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk through the Mojiko Retro District, enjoying the scenery of Western-style buildings and the harbor. At dusk, climb the port observation tower to watch the sunset turn the entire sea golden, creating an unforgettable romantic atmosphere. Day 2: Artistic Coast and City Lights On the second morning, I chose to take a small ferry across the Kanmon Strait, feeling the gentle sea breeze and the rippling waves. Upon reaching the other side, I visited Akama Shrine and Karato Market, savoring fresh seafood with an unforgettable sweet taste. In the afternoon, I returned to Mojiko to visit the Kyushu Railway History Museum, learning about the historical trajectory of railway development and even touching the old railway equipment. In the evening, I strolled along the port, capturing the enchanting reflections of city lights on the sea after sunset, filling my heart with warm nostalgic feelings, and concluding this journey perfectly.
