The orderly exhibition hall building extends irregularly, drawing from the city's ancient road network found at the site. The modern treatment of copper panel curtain walls, hand-compacted rammed earth, and fair-faced concrete blends naturally with the rustic surroundings of the site without appearing out of place. The design respects the original state of the vast rural site with a low-key and unobtrusive posture, creating a vast, serene atmosphere for exploring ancient history and origins—this is the fundamental concept of the architecture. The design extensively uses copper panel curtain walls, hand-compacted rammed earth, and matching fair-faced concrete craftsmanship. The total volume of rammed earth exceeds 4,000 cubic meters, making it currently the largest single rammed earth building in the world. In terms of interior space design, the museum aims to highlight the latest concepts of contemporary museum value. For example, the usually hidden cultural relic restoration area is placed along the main exhibition route. The pottery exhibition hall features skylights for natural lighting, restoring the natural display state of the artifacts.
