Since there is only one day, choose "take the cable car up, hike down" to save energy and enjoy the most beautiful scenery. 🏠 Accommodation: Arrive at Lavande Hotel in front of the Visitor Center at 22:00 on Saturday night 🚄 Transportation: Take the high-speed train to Pingxiang Station (22r) or Pingxiang North Station (27r), then take a bus directly to Wugong Mountain Visitor Center, about 1.5 hours (there is a small shop selling mineral water and hiking poles for 1r during the trip; you can buy supplies here for night hiking; the bus stops at many stations where people get on and off; see P18 for the schedule) 🎫 Tickets: Students: 50r Adults: 70r (There is a zoned free admission policy at the end of the year, check your province and time carefully) 🚠 Cable Car: Zhong'an Cable Car Up Ticket: 65; Down Ticket: 50 Jinding Cable Car Up Ticket: 35; Down Ticket: 25 Cable Car Operating Hours: November-March 8:30-16:30; April-October 8:20-17:10 (Night hikers must hike up from the foot of the mountain) 🏃🏻‍♀️ Route: 8:20-8:30 Take the free shuttle bus in front of the Visitor Center for about 10 minutes to the foot of the mountain 8:30-10:10 Take the Zhong'an cable car, then hike about 1 hour to the Jinding cable car, then take the Jinding cable car up to Jinding (after getting off the cable car, walk about 15 minutes to the summit; follow the signs toward Diaomazhuang) 10:10-11:00 Take photos and check in at Jinding; there are many people lining up in front of the Jinding stone monument 11:00-14:00 Hike down passing Diaomazhuang, Starry Sky Walkway (glass walkway), and other attractions, finally reaching Haohan Slope, then take the Zhong'an cable car down Gear: Clothing: Quick-dry shirt (essential, it’s really hot when hiking) + fleece liner (the sun was strong that day, about 17°C; took it off right after Zhong'an cable car and didn’t wear it again; for night hiking or low temperatures, bring a thin down jacket; the wind on the mountain is very strong) + shell jacket + thin fleece hiking pants Extras: Gloves + hat + sunglasses (for photos) + thermos (free hot water on the mountain) Food & Drink: Electrolyte drink + chocolate + bread + 2 eggs from breakfast 🥚 ⚠️ Notes: When descending, head toward Diaomazhuang; 90% is downhill with steep and long slopes, so be careful for safety; expect sore thigh and calf muscles afterward 🦵 You may randomly encounter stray cats 🐱 along the way; do not feed or touch them!
