Jiangxi Pingxiang/Wugong Mountain One-Day Through-Hike

🍂It's the perfect autumn and winter season, how could we miss Wugong Mountain after climbing so many mountains? This time we chose a relatively well-established route: Shenzi Village - Alpine Meadow - Tieti Peak - Golden Summit - Diaomazhuang - Descend to the Scenic Area Entrance The entire route is nearly 19 km, taking eleven hours (descending took some extra time due to the main hiker’s knee pain). 🍁We drove about two hours from the south of Changsha to reach the Shenzi Village parking lot. If you don’t stay overnight, parking costs 10 yuan per car. Entering Shenzi Village, villagers charge a 10 yuan sanitation fee per person. I have to say, the scenery along the Shenzi Village route is truly stunning; I almost thought I was in Ili. Just look at the pictures to see how beautiful the scenery is. For the first two hours with my partner, we hardly met anyone; the mountain was silent. When we ascended to about 700-800 meters, the area was shrouded in mist. It wasn’t until near the Broken Stone Pass that we encountered a group of heavy-load hikers. Upon reaching the alpine meadow, the view immediately opened up. Since it was December, it was still very cold on the mountain. I recommend dressing warmly because once you sweat and stop, it’s easy to catch a chill. My personal advice: don’t fight with nature; the summit is really cold. After some effort, we finally reached the Golden Summit close to 6 p.m., no regrets. ⛰️After reaching the Golden Summit, since we had to rush back to Changsha that night, we quickly descended along the route. Because it’s all stairs, it really strains the knees, so I recommend wearing knee braces.
