It preserves nearly thirty 19th-century buildings in Markham's history, including residences, barns, cattle sheds, train stations, churches, blacksmith shops, sawmills, and cider mills. The staff here are knowledgeable about history and are happy to show you around. The newly built museum building has many excellent exhibits.
