Huashan Scenic Area

Huashan Scenic Area is located in Ningming and Longzhou counties of Chongzuo City in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is known for a large number of ancient Zhuang rock paintings, which are spread over an area of more than 2,800 square kilometers. There are 64 major rock painting sites, with the most concentrated areas being Huashan and Mingjiang. The distribution of Huashan Scenic Area is characterized by a continuous strip-like pattern. The 200-li (approximately 100 kilometers) riverside scenic belt is centered around the ancient rock paintings of the Left River; the 500-li (approximately 250 kilometers) highway scenic belt features landscapes that weave through limestone peaks, peak forest depressions, and river valleys; the 100-li (approximately 50 kilometers) southern border scenic belt focuses on landscapes such as the Friendship Pass in Pingxiang and the Detian Waterfall in Daxin.
