Luxury, history, top-notch resort experience, exclusive to the wealthy... This time, we stayed at the Fairmont Château Laurier, the oldest top luxury hotel in Ottawa. The hotel is located at the entrance of the Rideau Canal, with an excellent location. Staying here, whether you are heading to Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, ByWard Market, or the National Gallery of Canada, it is a five to ten-minute walk, making it very convenient. The hotel was built over 100 years ago and is a French Gothic castle building with gray walls and green roofs, still retaining its magnificent classical style. It harmonizes perfectly with the Parliament Buildings complex across the street. Walking into the Fairmont Château Laurier feels like stepping into a fairy tale castle where princes and princesses live. Thick carpets underfoot, luxurious chandeliers, European-style columns and archways, long brightly lit corridors... everywhere you can feel the retro sense of age and aristocratic atmosphere.
