What you need to know about the ferry ▪️This is a high-speed passenger vessel (it doesn't carry cars). ▪️The journey takes about 2 hours (speed ~25 km/h). ▪️Usually four decks. ▪️There are air conditioning, comfortable seats, life jackets, and restrooms. ▪️There's a small cafe on the main deck (water, tea, coffee, and cookies are free; snacks are available for a fee). ▪️Open areas are available at the bow and stern—great views and a fresh breeze. How to buy tickets You can purchase one-way or round-trip tickets. The second option is more convenient: the return ticket is open-ended. Where to buy: ▪️At Rassada Pier (coordinates: 7.873441, 98.414543); ▪️Online (you can add a hotel transfer); by the way, you can also do this on trip.com. Tip: During peak season (for example, in February), book in advance as seats may be limited. Travel Procedure ▪️Transfer from your hotel to the pier (if included in your ticket). ▪️At the pier, you'll receive tickets and stickers. ▪️The return ticket shows the departure time and carrier name. ▪️Upon arrival in Phuket, transfer back to your hotel (if included in your ticket). Important details ▪️Port tax on Phi Phi Don (Ton Sai Pier, coordinates: 7.737840, 98.770626) is 30 baht (payable in cash, not included in the ticket price). ▪️When approaching the islands, step out at the bow of the ferry – it offers the best panoramic views. ▪️The boat is usually smooth, making the trip comfortable.
