Don't worry about the burning of Notre Dame, there are still more niche places to visit.

Just as I was preparing to go to France, I learned about the unfortunate fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. I had to reluctantly cancel my visit, but later found out about an even older cathedral than Notre-Dame. The Notre-Dame Cathedral in Reims, the capital of the Champagne region of France, has witnessed the coronation of 25 French monarchs in history, including Clovis, the first king of France, who was baptized here. From 1027 until the French Revolution, it was also the place where almost every French king held their coronation ceremony. The most famous of these was undoubtedly in 1429, when Joan of Arc escorted Charles VII here for his coronation. The Notre-Dame de Paris is modeled after many parts of the Cathedral of Reims, so it is very similar. In addition, because it is not as famous as the Notre-Dame de Paris, the number of visitors is very small, making it truly niche. And there is no ticket required to enter, sometimes you can catch the choir singing and the sunshine on your body feels like a perfect taste of heaven. Reims is also known as the Champagne capital.
