🇱🇰 Ancient WONDER of Sigiriya ✨

Sigiriya is the MOST iconic and beautiful site in the country of Sri Lanka! It represents the intricacies of the Sinhalese history and it dated back to thousands of years ago! For travelers, getting there is fairly easy! Getting There - Take the bus from Kandy or Colombo to Dambulla. From Dambulla you could take a 20 minute tuktuk to Sigiriya or take a bus which would roughly take 45 minutes. Most accommodations are very close to Sigiriya and are at walkable distance! Attractions - Pirundagala is a good viewpoint rock while Sigiriya Archeological site allows you to be exploring the history on the rock! Hotels - Senehas Homestay was very hospitable and of good value! Food & Restaurants - make sure you try string hoppers in the area! The area is full of touristy restaurants with cuisine ranging from international, italian to local Sri Lankan delicacies!
