City Walk Versailles Palace Travel Guide

Visiting the Palace of Versailles, one truly realizes what the real 'Versailles' is As one of the world's top five palaces, the Palace of Versailles is the epitome of luxury, with more than five hundred halls glittering in gold, each adorned with large oil paintings and artworks. Transportation: Accessible by RER C line metro, the Palace of Versailles is located in a suburban town, quite far from the city center. It takes about 1h. After getting off the metro, it's a 10min walk to the palace gates. Tickets need to be reserved in advance, and it's most economical to buy a museum pass, which allows access to various attractions. If purchased separately, a full-access ticket is 28.5 per person, and the main palace is 19.5 Visitor's Guide: Opening hours are 9:00-18:30, closed on Mondays, and it takes about half a day to visit, mainly the Palace of Versailles and the Grand Trianon. It's best to go early in the morning, as there are relatively fewer people before 10 am. There are two ticket checkpoints on the left and right. Just follow the crowd to start your tour. The souvenir shops inside are really nice, with many beautiful little items characteristic of the Palace of Versailles, and the canvas bags are gorgeous! (See the last picture) Be sure to bring some food! There are not many places selling food inside the venue, just some such, it's best to bring some bread, biscuits, yogurt, and fruits to fill your stomach.
