Visiting Château de Chillon on a winter’s sunny day was an unforgettable experience. The crisp air and clear skies made the castle’s medieval architecture stand out even more against the stunning backdrop of Lake Geneva and snow-capped Alps. We were lucky to find the castle surprisingly uncrowded, allowing us to explore at our own pace, lingering in each room and taking in the history and beauty without the usual crowds. The tranquility of the winter day added to the castle’s charm. The sunlight glinted off the lake’s surface, casting a golden glow on the stone walls of the château. From the serene lakeside walk to the majestic interiors, every corner felt like a scene from a fairytale.
