Weekend Trip | Mount Qiyun, Anhui

🪾 Early winter autumn search 🍂 A short family trip 👦 Considering the elderly and children, this mountain climbing trip chose Mount Qiyun, one of the Four Great Taoist Mountains, with a moderate altitude. 🚗 Self-driving from Hangzhou to Mount Qiyun: about 3 hours 🏠 To conveniently watch the park's shows and climb the mountain the next day, we chose to stay at a resort hotel inside the scenic area. Although it was convenient in terms of distance, overall, the commercial services in the scenic area were really average, especially the food, which was hard to describe. After eating at a nearby restaurant that was expensive, bad tasting, slow to serve, and had poor service, I regretted not driving to the town to eat. 🎇 About the performances The scenic area starts NPC performances and interactions from 3:30 PM. At 7:00 PM, the Baiyue Phantom Sound Festival begins. At 7:40 PM, there is a fishing lantern parade; follow the group to the visitor center to watch the iron flower show. At 8:10 PM, the iron flower, iron kettle, and fireworks performances start. ⛰️ About the hiking route 🚗 We chose to drive to the Banling parking lot and then hike up the mountain. This saves the cable car fee but still requires about a 20-minute hike to reach the Wangxianlou ticket checkpoint. In November, Zhejiang residents are free of charge, which was a nice bonus for us! 🚠 You can also choose to take the cable car directly, which should go to Yuehua Tianjie, making it much easier. The overall trip was not tiring; this year's mountain climbing quota is fulfilled for now!
