Introduction In this early autumn season, I finally embarked on a journey to Yiyang Guifeng. Guifeng, a Danxia landform scenic area praised as "Guifeng on the river is rare in the world," had long planted countless seeds of longing in my heart. Now, stepping into this magical land in person and feeling the wonders of nature, my heart is full of excitement and anticipation. First Impressions of Guifeng Upon arriving at Guifeng Scenic Area, the first thing that caught my eye was the endless Danxia mountains, unfolding before me like a colorful painting. After purchasing a ticket to enter the area, I chose a relatively quiet trail to begin my exploration. On both sides of the path, green trees shaded the way, birds sang, and flowers bloomed, as if stepping into a secluded paradise far from the hustle and bustle. Guifeng Wonders As I walked deeper, I was gradually captivated by Guifeng’s unique landforms. The peaks here vary in shape—some resemble giant turtles raising their heads, some look like divine turtles crawling, and others seem like a gathering of turtles, vivid and lifelike, truly breathtaking. The most eye-catching is the main peak, known as the "Crown of Guifeng." It soars into the clouds with a realistic shape, as if a giant divine turtle is slowly climbing toward the sky, inspiring awe for the wonders and greatness of nature. Climbing Journey To experience Guifeng’s charm up close, I decided to climb a higher peak. The mountain path was winding and twisting, but the scenery along the way was refreshing and delightful. Every step I climbed revealed different views—strange peaks and rocks, waterfalls, and flowing springs, dazzling my eyes. Finally, standing on the summit, overlooking the surrounding mountains and distant fields and villages, a surge of indescribable pride and ambition welled up in my heart. Cultural Charm Guifeng is not only impressive for its natural scenery but also for its profound cultural heritage. During the visit, I learned that Guifeng has long been a favorite subject of poets and scholars, leaving behind many well-known poems and legends. Additionally, some ancient temples and stone carvings remain here, witnessing Guifeng’s long history and splendid culture. Reflections on the Return As the sun set in the west, I reluctantly said goodbye to Guifeng Scenic Area. Looking back at this magical land, my heart was filled with gratitude and reverence. The trip to Guifeng not only allowed me to appreciate the magnificent natural scenery but also deeply made me realize the importance of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. Transportation Guide - High-speed rail: After arriving at Yiyang Station, you can take the free Guifeng double-decker tourist bus, about 35 minutes directly to the scenic area; or take bus No. 2, fare 3 yuan, about 30 minutes; or take a taxi, about 20 minutes, costing 30-40 yuan. - Self-driving: Navigate directly to "Yiyang Guifeng Scenic Area Visitor Center Parking Lot." The scenic area has both above-ground and underground parking lots, parking fee is 10 yuan/day, overnight parking adds 10 yuan/day. Ticket Information - Tickets are 60 yuan per person.
