Xiamen has a photographer who is great at capturing huge, huge, huge landscapes

Having worked as a photographer in Xiamen for many years, here are some highly photogenic large landscape spots I recommend 📸 P1 Zhangzhou Volcano Island Once a popular scenic spot, now quiet with ticket prices almost halved~🤣 1.5 hours drive from Xiamen, few people and wide open views, perfect for shooting a spacious island feel. P2-3 Huandao Road · Calligraphy Square Located between Pearl Bay and Baicheng, perfectly centered to avoid the crowds at these two popular beaches✌ Few people here, easy to frame shots, you can take your time shooting. P4-6 Gulangyu Island The island’s streets are many and narrow, with only a few large landscape spots ✅ Recommended spots: Catholic Church, Academy of Fine Arts, Meihua Beach, Gangzaihou, Dadeji Bathing Beach, Yanwei Mountain. These places have open scenes and are easy to get great shots. P7 Huaxin Road · Xingfu Road · Flower and Bird Market This area has an old alley atmosphere, large landscape spots require careful searching~ Great for those who like street neighborhood stories. P8 Huandao Road · Pearl Bay At low tide, a sea-view platform appears beyond the railing; at high tide it’s all water. Catching the right timing looks amazing! P9-10 Xiamen Botanical Garden ❌ The rainforest and sand-growing plant areas are crowded and hard to shoot large landscapes Recommended to head towards the south gate: Xishan Garden and Jiangmu Garden have fewer people and larger scenes, better for creative work. Both these photos were taken in Xishan Garden. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Currently, no follow-shooting allowed in the botanical garden! You can still shoot with yourself and friends. P11 Shangli Reservoir Enter from the east gate of the botanical garden and head straight across, straight across‼️ The grass is flat and the lake water clear, not crowded on weekdays~ but very weather and light dependent, best on sunny evenings. P12 Chunjian Near Jimei School Village and Dashe, a photography base with three-story villas and yards, diverse scenes, the larger scenes are only the yards. P13 Zhangzhou · Zhenhaijiao Large grasslands + cliff sea views, wide open scenes~ ⚠️ The place is small, not recommended to go just for this, but if you’re visiting Volcano Island, Baitang Bay, or Dongshan Island, it’s worth a stop!
