At Sadojima e Watare Meieki branch,
I had a luxurious course meal with a hot pot rice dish made with high-end ingredients such as crab, bluefin tuna, oysters, monkfish liver, salmon roe, and A5 Wagyu beef 🥢
It was so delicious that I thought, 'I want to go to Nagoya again just to eat this hot pot.'
【Soup】Oyster broth soup
【Appetizer】Raw vegetables with Sado miso
【Starter】3 kinds of appetizers
・Yam with plum sauce
・Salmon roe with grated egg yolk
・Oysters marinated in oil
【Grilled】Salt Koji grilled young chicken
【Meat】A5 Niigata Wagyu beef tataki
【Main】3 kinds of fresh fish
【Steamed】Yam and oyster broth chawanmushi
【Fried】Shishamo tempura

Try to be here if in Nagoya
Visited Noridake's Forest on Sunday morning. There were many people who took a quiet walk in the garden rather than several exhibition halls and museums, so it was relaxing
The park site in front of the ION Mall, which is directly connected. Garden includes Noritake Museum and Exhibition Hall which allows people learn more about the history of Japanese ceramics.
Informative gallery and beautiful grounds offering peaceful respite from the city. Very convenient

Nagoya Legoland in Japan is highly recommended
The park is not far from the city center and is not very large, but it is enough to spend a whole day there. There is also a Sealife aquarium outside.
It is very suitable for children and family outings, with more than 20 rides, most of which are for children. I went during a weekday in the summer, and there were basically no lines for the rides, so there was no need to buy a skip pass. The children had a great time, although the weather in Japan can be a bit hot in the summer.
The food in the park's restaurants is quite average, but there are many restaurants outside the park to choose from. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or on trip.com, and you can enter by scanning a QR code, which is very convenient.
The park's design is very thoughtful and perfect for taking photos.

Old Nagoya Cafe Recommendation
KAKO Coffee House, one of the oldest cafes in Nagoya, opened in 1972 and has been around for 50 years! Usually, there's a wait even on weekdays, but I was able to visit without waiting, perhaps because I went to a branch location.
It's a place where you can enjoy Nagoya's famous morning set. If you visit between 7-11 AM, you can get the set at a cheaper price, so make sure to visit early! As someone who starts their day early when traveling, I appreciated that the cafe opens early in the morning :)

Magnificent site in center of Nagoya
The Osu Kannon temple is one of main temples in Osu Shopping areas. It is located at one end of osu shopping district.
Quite an interesting place. There were a lot of pigeons around the temple and I saw people feeding them for good luck.
Not a very big temple but you get to pray and offer incense at the top of the stairs. If you're looking for a smaller temple with a small crowd, this might be for you.

Must visit when traveling to Nagoya
Japan is fantastic for low cost educational children's activities. When visiting Japan one must visit Nagoya, more specifically Nagoya Castle
Nagoya castle and palace is another great example of that. Sadly the original palace burnt down during WWII, however the replica was constructed and is stunning.
The castle is an architectural masterpiece. A truly impressive experience

Nagoya | Sky Promenade Aerial Corridor City View
Every time I travel to a strange place, I particularly like to find a high point, either a mountain or a tower, to overlook the entire city. It is a shortcut that allows me to quickly get to know and perceive the cityscape.
'Sky Promenade' is just such a place. Adjacent to Nagoya Station, the Midland Square building is the tallest in Nagoya and the fifth tallest in Japan. The 42nd floor of the building is the ticket office for Sky Promenade, and floors 44-46 are the aerial observation decks that offer a bird's-eye view of the entire Nagoya city area.
The observation deck is a three-story corridor structure, built along the glass curtain, with a semi-open-air viewing platform that is comfortable and bright, making people feel relaxed and happy. The observation deck has three sides, offering views in different directions. JR Central Tower stands to the west, Nagoya Castle to the north, and Nagoya Port to the south. On clear days, you can even see the Nagoya Dome and Ichinomiya Tower in the distance.
This place is not only loved by tourists and photography enthusiasts but also a popular spot for locals and couples to date and families to take a walk. It is recommended to go up the building before sunset to enjoy the beauty of the sunset and to welcome the moment when night falls.
Business hours: 11:00-21:30 (Closed at 22:00, varies during the season)
Admission fee: 750 yen for adults

Nagoya Morning Service with free breakfast
#wecreate
Hanagoyomi
Abania Chikara-machi 1F, 4-72, Chikara-machi, Higashi-ku, Nagoya-shi
Do you know that in Nagoya, there is a unique "Morning Service" where you can get free breakfast with the purchase of a drink at a number of cafes? Most Nagoya breakfast Morning Service comes with a free toast and it's usually available from opening to around 11am.
Over at Hanagoyomi, you get to choose your morning service from free toast, or onigiri or porridge. In addition, they will also provide free mini salad, Chawanmushi and tea to go along with your meal. It's totally a superb deal and I enjoyed every bit of my onigiri and others.

Must visit place in Nagoya - Nagoya Castle
I went to Nagoya Castle during the blooming of sakura and it was so beautiful. However the main tower is closed for renovation. Despite that, there are so many other things to explore around the castle.
The high walls and the buildings structure of the castle are well preserved and maintained. There are also beautiful parks and gardens within the compound. Overall a must visit when you are in Nagoya.
The admission fee was 500 yen for one adult during my visit in April 2023.

Special Heritage Site - Nagoya castle lightup
During the annual Japan sakura season - visit this special heritage site.
Nagoya castle usually closes by 5pm but extends till 8pm during the precious sakura season.
You can catch more than 1,000 sakura trees here and also visit this place with a castle filled with gold paintings and artwork.
recommended duration would be 1-2 hours here for those into tradition and history

Is it worth visiting Japan’s 4th largest city
Nagoya may not be the most popular nor biggest city in Japan but it is definitely worth visiting especially when transmitting to Shirakagowa. Nagoya is the 4th largest city besides Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama. It is the major transport hub between Osaka, Tokyo and Kyoto.
Main attractions includes Nagoya castle, Ghibli Park, Hisaya Odori Park, Nagoya TV tower which is one of the oldest TV towers in Japan. Nagoya is located around 90mins away from Tokyo by bullet train. Two to three days in Nagoya is more than enough. Best months to visit are March to May which is dry and sunny.
Nagoya is famous for local produce of fresh water eel called unagi, deep fried chicken wings (Tebasaki), deep fried pork cutlet and Kishinev (flat wheat noodles) are all must try food.
You can make a side trip from Nagoya to Shirakawago and Gokayama, Kiso Valley, Takayama, Gero Onsen and Inuyama. Nagoya has one of the scenic sunset view as well when you catch it at the right time!

Expect the unexpected!!
To be honest I wasn't sure to stop in Nagoya or not, but adter making some friends from there I give the city a chance.
From the first stop, the Nagoya Station, you can fsee that is a vibrant city, a Dennys across the street, several restaurants with cheap beer and BBQ, karaokes and bars full of expats and locals.
Nagoya has a different feeling as other cities in Japan.

Zoo in Nagoya
The Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens are located in Nagoya. You just need to pay 500yen and you get to visit the zoo and Botanical garden ! I find zoos in Japan are so cheap and worth the visit.
The Higashiyama Zoo has a variety of animals, you can find elephants, giraffes, tigers etc, to sea animals like seals, penguins etc, to reptiles and birds. If you are interested in plants you can visit the botanical garden.

Nagoya's Hidden gem, a garden!
Beautiful and gorgeous garden in the middle of the city, just few minutes walking out of the Atsuta shrine ⛩
There is an entrance fee but it gives you a free bus ride to the metro station so is quite a good deal.
The place is gorgeous and has a small waterfall, a gorgeous lake a tea house and so many gorgeous plants and trees.
It's a very special place because it's an example of how humans can live in harmony with nature showing us how they built that garden just besides the river.
Recommended and worth the price

Staycation at Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nagoya
#staycation
I had a staycation in Nagoya for one night at Daiwa Roynet hotel in Nagoya and it was enjoyable.
The room I booked was the king room and it was quite spacious for Japan’s standard. I liked that the hotel was located close by to the Nagoya train station and it was comfortably designed, together with a bathtub. I booked quite early and the room was quite reasonably priced.
I will be back!
My rating on this hotel: 3.5 ⭐️ out of 5!

Legoland Japan is located In Nagoya as a Lego fans I will strongly recommend to go and the Mini-land here is very nice .
Getting to Legoland is pretty simple. From Nagoya Station, the city’s primary rail hub, it just a 24-minute ride on the Aonami Line to Kinjofuto Station, near the Ise Bay shoreline. Once off the train, Legoland is a 10-minute stroll away.
