AOLUGUYA Harbin I originally booked a king bed room for over 1,100, but I upgraded to an executive suite with a river view for an extra 200 at the front desk. Hotel environment: Take the elevator to the hotel lobby on the 42nd floor. Guest rooms are on the 39th floor, and restaurants are on the 42nd and 43rd floors. Room environment: The overall style is elegant, with a bathtub by the window. The room is large. Toiletries are from L'Occitane. The mineral water is not a common brand. The coffee in the mini bar is Nescafe (a bit of a letdown). I was given a peach after checking in. A small downside is that the toilet is not smart, and it looks very ordinary. I don't know if it's because the floor is too high, but the flush is not strong. The shower water is not hot enough. It was lukewarm at first, and I was worried there was no hot water. (The shower glass is transparent, so you can see the person showering from the bed.) Pros: Since we upgraded to an executive suite, we had afternoon tea and a late-night snack in addition to breakfast. Breakfast is served from 6:30 am to 1 pm, afternoon tea from 2 pm to 8 pm, and late-night snacks from 10 pm to midnight. This is great, as there is food available all day. Service: When I checked in yesterday, I happened to see someone checking out. The front desk said there was a gift for a good review and gave the guest a big bag. When I checked out today, I was told there was only a small cup, and it wasn't even a custom hotel cup. It was like a souvenir cup you can buy online. Summary: The high floor offers a good view of the Songhua River, and food is available all day. Breakfast is abundant. However, the bathroom is a bit disappointing, and the mineral water and mini bar in the room could be upgraded. (The mini bar is not even as good as the one at the Lan Ye Hotel, where we stayed for 1,499. There is only mineral water in the room, and some drinks in the fridge are chargeable.
