Shandong|Nishan Holy Land feels Confucius culture
Nishan Holy Land is a resort-style scenic spot centered on Confucius culture. The Confucius icon, located 72 meters high in the center of the scenic spot, is very eye-catching and leads to Confucius. The steps on the steps of the icon are full of people's wish cards. It is said that many candidates will make a wish before the exam. The university hall built on the mountain is magnificent, and the contents are more abundant. The art exhibits, the performance of "Jinsheng Yuzhen", and the hand-written analects, hand-painted fans and rabbits that visitors can personally participate in can be said to be the scenic spots of Nishan. The essence is.
gave you a summary of the main activities in the university hall:
In the ancient Chinese ceremony, the music began with a bell, called "Golden Sound", to hit The end of the is "Yu Zhen". This is a large-scale artistic repertoire with the theme of Chinese ritual and music culture. It tells the story of a gentleman from birth to childhood, juvenile, middle-aged, old age, edification of ritual and music culture, continuous growth, and finally extraordinary sanctification. The tour around Beijing is different! Two hours of high-speed rail, the hometown of Confucius walked!
Who said that the tour around Beijing must be in Beijing! ? Science and technology change life, sit on the high-speed rail for two and a half hours, do not traffic jam to Shandong, weekend tour, Kong Shengren's hometown Qufu walked. Nishan Holy Land, rich experience, full of harvest.
Night to visit Nishan, see the gorgeous night scene: Nishan Holy Land, autumn night, the huge statue of Confucius stands quietly, can be seen anywhere. The water curtain performance at night was unusually shocking, the flowing classical poetry, the galloping fountain, the chimes, horses and phoenix shapes that the drones made in the air, the classics of Chinese culture that passed down the millennium, and the story of a generation of saint Confucius. . The grassland and the otter in the scenic spot can be seen everywhere. I am very busy with the electronic lanterns.
University Hall Experience hand-painted rabbits: In addition to the visit, there are also Chinese learning experiences for parents and children. In the workshop of the University Hall, I worked with a rabbit. Of course, I am responsible for the hands-on, he is responsible for the command. In addition to painting rabbits, there are also hand-painted Juan fans, hand-painted lanterns and other projects. Quietly complete a handmade work of his own, take home, is a good travel hand to do, travel memories.
Handwriting the Analects of Confucius, the study of Chinese culture: on the second floor of the university hall, you can also experience the handwritten analects. Similarly, I am responsible for copying the Analects and I am responsible for watching. However, in the process of copying, I have been reading it for "Knowledge is known, I don't know if I don't know, I know it." Chinese studies and inheritance are not overnight. In the university hall, many children wear Chinese clothes and carefully copy and study. Still feel beautiful and very cute.
"Golden Sound Yuzhen", shocking the body and mind: In the Nishan Holy Land University Hall, the large indoor ritual performance "Golden Sound Yu Zhen" shocked me! The perfect combination of sound, light, electricity, poetry, music and dance, the changing stage set, character shape, rhythm and relaxation of the plot, interpretation of "the Confucius of the world" and "the world of Confucius", will "the life of Mingli The stage version of the "way" is perfectly conveyed. At the end of the show, it reached its climax in the splendid fireworks. The best place to watch is at the Holy Place.

Shandong Five Days and Four Nights Itinerary
Sharing our wonderful journey, a warm reminder: the surprise is at the end! 😜
📍D1: At 5 PM, after a two and a half hour drive, we arrived in Dezhou and checked into the Qihe Arcadia Hotel🎈. The service at the front desk was excellent, making us feel warm and welcomed😘. The outdoor pool at the hotel was stunning, but unfortunately, the weather was still cold, so we couldn't experience it, boohoo😭. We must come back next time! 💪
📍D2: We spent a fulfilling day at Qihe Europark🎢. Oh dear, due to the weather, Blue Fire was closed, which was a bit disappointing😔. However, there weren't many people, so we managed to try almost all the attractions, hehe😜. The excitement of a second visit was indeed somewhat reduced🤭.
📍D3: We arrived at Nishan Sacred Land in Jining🎊, a place that Xiao Ruo and I had been looking forward to for a long time! Nishan Sacred Land started construction in 2012 and was completed and opened in September 2018 after six years. The core cultural theme of the scenic area is "Ritual Life Style," and it is positioned as a "Cultural Cultivation Resort" and a "World-Class Humanistic Tourism Destination." Here, we experienced making sachets💖, which was really interesting! Everyone must try it! 😘 The main attractions include a 72-meter Confucius statue, the Great Hall, the Seventy-two Sages Corridor, Jinsheng Yuzhen Square, Nishan Confucius Temple, and Nishan Academy. In the evening, we watched a light show and fireworks display together, wow, it was incredibly beautiful! 😍
📍D4: We unexpectedly discovered the Taian Shigandang Cultural Park🎠, which was the biggest surprise of our trip! 😎 It's not like a typical amusement park but is nestled in the mountains. The pirate ship here was the most thrilling ride we've ever experienced in an amusement park, and my little Ruo rode it six times and still couldn't get enough! 😜 We also joined a group of over a hundred local elementary school students, with dozens of 8-9-year-olds riding the pirate ship together, their screams and laughter echoing throughout the mountain, it was so joyful! 😆 There's also Flying Over Mount Tai, with excellent 5D effects, so beautiful it left us in awe👀. Highly recommend everyone to watch it! There are many more attractions waiting for you to experience! 💖
📍D5: In Taian, we woke up naturally, checked out in the afternoon, and went to eat at Yanji BBQ🍡, which was really delicious! 😋 We arrived after 2 PM, and they were already closing, but when they heard we were from out of town, the owner specially called the chef back to grill for us🥰. The hospitality of the Shandong people really touched us🙏!
💕 This parent-child trip was full of joy and memories, Shandong is truly a great place for family trips🎈! Everyone, come and experience it! 💃🕺

Nishan Sacred Land Travel Guide
Grand Ceremony of Ritual Music "Golden Sound and Jade Vibration"
Personal cultivation, self-improvement, family and national sentiment, understanding of Chinese culture, intangible cultural heritage experience, activity expansion, vivid, three-dimensional, modern traditional cultural education, understanding the inner and outer culture of Confucianism, and appreciating the charm of Chinese traditional culture.
Tracing the roots - exploring the birthplace of Confucius, the Confucius Cave and Nishan Confucius Temple, the origin of Confucian culture. According to "Queli Zhi · Mountains and Rivers": "The five peaks of the mountain stand together, called the Five Old Peaks." This place has a long history and rich cultural resources. As early as the Neolithic Age, ancestors left traces of fishing, hunting, and farming here. Nishan was originally named Nichu Mountain, but was renamed to avoid the taboo of Confucius' name, Qiu. The mountain is not high, with an altitude of about 340 meters, and has beautiful scenery. "A mountain is famous not for its height, but for its immortals. Water is spiritual not for its depth, but for its dragons." Because the great Chinese thinker, politician, and educator Confucius was born here, Nishan is famous worldwide. There are currently 27 buildings with 81 rooms, including halls, gates, and pavilions, divided into east, middle, and west areas. Behind the temple is the Nishan Academy. The Nishan Confucius Temple and Nishan Academy were repaired by several generations of Confucius' descendants. Compared to the Confucius Temples built by feudal dynasties to worship Confucius, it has a more homely and simple style, with a "low-key" posture. The Confucius Cave is shrouded in mystery, forming the unique cultural connotation of the Nishan Scenic Area with the cultural background of the Nishan Academy.
The Nishan Sacred Land Scenic Area was also the main venue for the 2018 CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival Gala. With the recitation of "Time flies like a river, never stopping day or night," the focus of the whole nation once again gathered on China · Shandong · Qufu · Nishan. Surrounded by mountains and water, the village of Luyuan, where Confucius' father lived, the village of Yanmu, where Confucius' mother lived, and the Confucius Cave, where Confucius was born, form the unique sacred landscape of sacred mountains, sacred waters, and sacred places, and the sacred pattern of sacred father, sacred mother, and sage. The sacred land is located at the confluence of five rivers, with five peaks standing together, and the union of Zou and Lu. The entire scenic area is created from intangible to tangible, from sound to silence, from bounded to boundless, from classics to inheritance, from flourishing to deep in the heart, creating a sacred land of Confucianism.
At the Golden Sound and Jade Vibration Square, admire the 72-meter-high statue of Confucius and participate in the "Worship the Master" activity. The ceremony of respecting the master is a creative combination of the ancient Confucius worship ceremony and today's "civilized lifestyle," allowing researchers to directly contact the essence of Confucian thought, experience the shock of traditional culture, take on the responsibility of family and society, and inherit the civilization of rituals and music. At the same time, recite and study the "Analects" in front of the Confucius statue, and collectively recite the Confucian classics according to the itinerary.
Watch the performance of "The Way of the University" in the Step Hall, derived from the teaching story of Confucius - from shallow to deep, step by step, gradually reaching a higher level. The activity requires students to master the six basic skills according to the requirements of the Zhou Dynasty official school: "ritual, music, archery, charioteering, writing, and mathematics."
The Hall of Seventy-two Sages is a hall full of stories. Through thirty groups of sculptures, it vividly shows the stories of Confucius and his seventy-two disciples. Passing through the Zhongni Gate, surrounded by the quiet and elegant sound of ancient musical instruments, listening to "Playing the Se" and "Blowing the Sheng," stepping into the Hall of Seventy-two Sages, you and I are both disciples of Confucius, seeking teachings from Confucius and the seventy-two sages, learning stories, and gaining insights into life.
"Golden Sound and Jade Vibration" Paid Project: 140 RMB
Performance: Nishan Ritual Music, Golden Sound and Jade Vibration, is a large-scale artistic drama with Chinese ritual music culture as the theme. The whole drama is divided into nine chapters, telling the story of the male protagonist (Confucius) from birth to childhood, youth, middle age, and old age, being constantly influenced and educated by ritual music culture, growing, cultivating morality, managing family and governing the world, and becoming a sage from a gentleman, thus inheriting the virtues of the Chinese nation and promoting the style of the land of rituals.
The "Golden Sound and Jade Vibration" drama is based on the birthplace of Confucianism, with "ritual music culture" as the main theme of the performance, and "the world's Confucius" and "Confucius' world" as the direction of intention. It innovatively integrates Chinese classical art forms such as poetry, music, and dance with the most cutting-edge contemporary art forms such as holographic images, large-scale machinery, and stage installations, extracting the Chinese spirit from traditional culture, highlighting the theme of respecting excellent traditional Chinese culture, inspiring contemporary youth to care for their parents, respect their teachers, practice filial piety, brotherhood, loyalty, and obedience, encouraging contemporary youth to be patriotic, progressive, rational, and enterprising, taking on the responsibility of family and society, enhancing national self-confidence and cohesion, telling the Chinese story well, and realizing the great Chinese dream.
The performance consists of nine chapters to inherit the virtues of the Chinese nation and promote the style of the land of rituals: "The Beginning of the Great Wilderness," "Enlightenment and Wisdom," "Youth Reading," "The Gentleman Adds a Crown," "Wedding Ceremony," "Practicing Rituals and Cultivating Virtue," "Managing Family and Governing the World," "Returning to Hometown with Honor," "The Great Achievement of Sages."
Visit the Hall of Benevolence, Righteousness, Ritual, Wisdom, and Trust in the University Hall to appreciate the profoundness of Chinese architectural art. In the Hall of Benevolence, experience "Hand Reading the Analects." There is a saying, "Half of the Analects governs the world, one aphorism understands the past and present." The saying "Half of the Analects governs the world" comes from Song · Luo Dajing's "Helin Yulu" Volume 7: In the early Song Dynasty, Prime Minister Zhao Pu was said to have read only the "Analects." This shows the profound influence of the "Analects." Nowadays, by copying at different speeds, one can understand the Zen: fast has its passion, slow has its steadiness. Fast and slow are both realms, each with its own wonders. However, everything requires a slow waiting process before experiencing the final bloom. So please give yourself enough time to appreciate the wonders of fast and slow and taste the moment of success.

Nishan Holy Land—The World of Confucius
Nishan, the birthplace of Confucius, is located more than 340 meters above sea level, southeast of Qufu City, bordering Sishui County and Zoucheng City, with most of it belonging to Nishan Town in Qufu City. Originally named Nishan Hill, it was later renamed because Confucius' parents prayed at Nishan Hill and were blessed with Confucius. Confucius was the second child in his family, originally named Kong Qiu, styled Zhongni. Later generations referred to Nishan to avoid using Confucius' name directly.
Confucius' father, Shuliang He, was born in the ancient village of Luyuan Village on the north side of Changping Mountain, west of Nishan, by the Yi River. This place was once the Changping Township of the State of Lu, where Shuliang He served as the chief of Zouyi. The village still has a stone tablet inscribed by Kang Youwei, reading "Ancient Changping Township." Shuliang He was known for his bravery and strength. His wife, Shi, bore nine daughters but no sons. His concubine bore a son, Meng Pi, but he could not inherit the family business due to a foot ailment. Southeast of Nishan are Yanmu Mountain and Yanmu Village, named after Confucius' mother, Yan Zhengzai. In his later years, Shuliang He married Yan Zhengzai, and on August 27, 551 BC, Yan gave birth to Confucius at Nishan. When Confucius was three years old, his father passed away, and he moved with his mother to the capital of Lu, Qufu. His descendants flourished there, earning the title "Qufu Family." Confucius became the progenitor of the Kong family.
Nishan has five peaks. On the eastern slope of the central peak, there are buildings such as the Confucius Temple and Nishan Academy. Other scenic spots include the Five Elders Peak, Zhiyuan Forest, Zhiyuan Stream, Kunling Cave, Guanchuan Pavilion, Zhonghe Valley, Wende Forest, and Baiyun Cave, collectively known as the "Eight Scenic Spots of Nishan." The Shengshui Lake on the south side of Nishan was originally named "Nishan Reservoir," built in 1958. In 2010, the Nishan Provincial Cultural Tourism Resort was established. In 2011, the Nishan Confucius Temple Scenic Area was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction.
The overall concept of Nishan Holy Land is "Confucius' World, the World's Confucius," aiming to create a comprehensive cultural platform integrating cultural experience, academic enlightenment, ecological tourism, leisure vacation, and educational training.

Travel to Qufu, where a female disciple paid respects to the great master~
Now in Qufu, besides the traditional Three Confucian Sites, the popular pilgrimage destination is the Nishan Sacred Land Scenic Area, which is said to be the birthplace of Confucius. Over two thousand years have turned stories into legends, yet the charm of the classics can still be felt.
The Nishan Sacred Land mainly includes the Nishan Sacred Palace Statue Area, the Great Hall, and the statue of Confucius. The 72-meter-high statue of Confucius stands atop the mountain, based on Wu Daozi's 'Confucius Teaching' from the Tang Dynasty, facing the rippling Nishan Reservoir, with layered mountains and scattered villages in the distance.
There are no ancient relics here! Or rather, there are no authentic relics from the time of Confucius. It can be understood as a pilgrimage site for Confucian disciples and a place to experience traditional Confucian culture. It is also a great place to take time-travel-themed photos.
Along the central axis facing the statue of Confucius, the Confucius Academy on the right is prepared for study, while visitors mainly visit the 'Great Hall' on the left.
The square layout and the color scheme of white walls and brown tiles display a simple and natural Chinese style. The Great Hall includes the Hall of Wisdom, the Way of the Great Learning, the Corridor of the Seventy-two Sages, the Hall of Rites, the Hall of Righteousness, and the Hall of Benevolence, where one can gain a deep understanding of Confucian culture.
Here, you can peacefully copy the Analects, listen to ancient music, and feel the profoundness of ancient Chinese culture. Or you can walk with your children along the Corridor of the Seventy-two Sages, letting them learn about the stories of ancient sages and pass on excellent traditional culture.
There are scheduled dance and music performances at various points in the Great Hall, which you can watch according to the performance schedule. Every evening, there are drone and fireworks shows, but they may be canceled if the weather is bad (which happened to me).
⭐️ Recommended Spots
🔥 Corridor of the Seventy-two Sages: Known for its depth, but it's crowded, so it's best to go early or during lunchtime;
🔥 High Mountain Admiration Stairs: The lighting and colors are well-matched, but it's also crowded, so you can take a side shot;
🔥 Central Axis of the Confucius Statue: You can take a photo with the statue, but it depends on the weather.
⭐️ Transportation and Accommodation
The scenic area is a bit far from the city center, and there are buses from the city visitor center and the Three Confucian Sites;
The parking lot at the entrance of the scenic area is a bit far from the core scenic area, and there are shuttle buses after purchasing tickets;
The visitor center offers Hanfu costume rentals, and I chose a 199 yuan package;
The scenic area is quite large, and electric cars cost 20 yuan per person;
There are night tours, so it's suitable to stay overnight, and there are many homestays in the nearby village.
⭐️ Additional Notes
It used to be said that traditional Chinese people had no religious beliefs, but after walking around Qufu in Shandong, isn't Confucius' theory a belief rooted in the hearts of the Chinese people?
From the sayings of sages to the annotations of great Confucians throughout the ages, from Confucian temples all over the country to the titles conferred on Confucius' descendants, from the enlightenment readings in childhood to the references in the imperial examination... all these theories have deeply ingrained themselves in the genes.
Especially after visiting Japan, Korea, and Vietnam, and comparing them with other cultural circles in the world, one feels more strongly the emphasis East Asian countries place on education, family structure, and ways of thinking. Whether you acknowledge it or not, they are all disciples of Confucius.

Walk into the hometown of the ancient sages in the textbooks! Qufu Nishan Sacred Land Guide
Qufu is a great place where you can learn about the story of Confucius, the ancient sage. The 'Three Confucian Sites' (Confucius Mansion, Confucius Temple, and Confucius Forest) are must-visit attractions in Qufu, and Nishan Sacred Land has become particularly popular among tourists in recent years.
Visiting the 'Three Confucian Sites' is for commemoration and remembrance, while coming to Nishan Sacred Land allows you not only to have a distant dialogue with ancient sages but also to immerse yourself in the thousand-year-old traditional Confucian atmosphere!
♥ About Scenic Activities
Nishan Sacred Land offers different activities and performances from morning to night.
Every day at the Supreme Sage Square, there is a top scholar parade, and the gold list inscription and blessing stamps carry the expectations and wishes of students and parents.
Following the textbooks to tour Nishan is even more interesting. Everyone can participate, and the questions are all within the scope of middle and high school textbooks. If you are well-versed in 'Confucius' and 'The Analects,' you will surely be able to answer fluently.
If you like DIY, you can also check out handmade experiences like making sachets.
Nishan Sacred Land is even more exciting at night.
In the evening, there is a drone show called 'Three Thousand Lights for You' in front of the 72-meter Confucius statue, and the effect of the Kongming lanterns is fantastic!
The Phoenix Dance at Nishan by the Holy Water Lake is not to be missed. The light and water show is dazzling, and the fireworks show is the climax, lighting up the entire night sky!
♥ About Accommodation
With such exciting evening programs, staying overnight is worth it. Nishan Sacred Land has two hotels. Nishan Guesthouse Hotel is a standard five-star hotel with very comfortable rooms and a great sense of design, especially the lobby, which looks great in photos! Nishan Academy Hotel recreates the old residences of southwestern Shandong, and the standalone courtyard suites are the most popular. Bamboo forests, courtyards, and ancient buildings create a wonderful atmosphere! I recommend the Yatang Chinese Restaurant at Nishan Academy Hotel, where you can taste authentic Confucian cuisine.
♥ Transportation and Tickets
1. Qufu currently has no airport. You can fly to Jining or Jinan first, then take the high-speed train to Qufu East Station. The drive from Qufu East Station to Nishan Sacred Land takes just over 20 minutes.
2. I recommend buying a package ticket, which is more cost-effective. The Jinsheng Yuzhen performance is worth watching! It's an hour of pure amazement.
3. The specific performance times are subject to the scenic area's daily announcements.

Where to go during summer vacation? Here's a guide to Qufu, the hometown of Confucius, you're welcome
Mount Nishan has become one of the important symbols of the origin of Chinese culture because of Confucius. It is known as the "cradle of Confucianism" and should be mentioned alongside Lumbini, Jerusalem, Mecca, and Athens.
There are many places to visit in Qufu. Here's a guide for eating, drinking, playing, and shopping.
✅【Qufu City】
Confucius Temple: This is a must-visit place in Qufu, a temple dedicated to Confucius, known as the "First Temple Under Heaven." It is one of the three major ancient architectural complexes in China, along with the Forbidden City in Beijing and the Summer Resort in Chengde.
The Three Confucian Sites in Qufu: Confucius Temple, Confucius Mansion, and Confucius Forest. The Confucius Temple was mentioned earlier, and the other two are...
Yan Temple: An ancient temple built for Yan Hui, Confucius' first disciple, with a history of over 680 years.
Mount Jiuxian: Located 18 kilometers north of Qufu city, it is one of the highest peaks in Jining.
Confucius Museum: A museum built to commemorate Confucius and showcase Confucian thought, with nearly 700,000 artifacts.
✅【Nishan Sacred Land】
Personally, I think the Nishan Sacred Land in Qufu is more worth visiting than the city area. Good hotels, great activities, and beautiful lake and mountain scenery.
✅Accommodation: There are two hotels in the Sacred Land area, Nishan Guesthouse and Nishan Academy Hotel. This time I stayed at the latter.
Built on the mountain, nestled in the valley forest of Hundred Flowers Valley, the natural environment and view are perfect. It doesn't feel like a hotel but more like an ideal ancient natural village, with deep forests and lush vegetation.
What I love most about this hotel is the guest rooms. The standalone courtyard suites are fantastic, and there are villa view rooms with small courtyards or platforms, very relaxing. The courtyard suites are generally one-bedroom, one-living room, and one-bathroom layout, and there are family rooms with two bedrooms, especially suitable for families.
✅Food:
To eat the most authentic Confucian cuisine, you have to go to Nishan, the hometown of Confucius!
1. Liuyatang, a fine dining restaurant on the 8th floor of Nishan Sacred Land University Hall, offers the purest Confucian cuisine.
Highly recommended dishes include Six Arts Cold Dishes, Poetry Ginkgo, Kirin Jade Book, Confucian Tofu, Golden Hook Silver Strips, Yangguan Three Stacks, and Confucian Library...
2. Yatang Chinese Restaurant at Nishan Academy Hotel, homey taste, comfortable, with artistic presentation, very delicious.
3. Changpingji, if you want to try local snacks, you must visit Changpingji on B1 of the University Hall. There are also many fast foods, such as the paper-thin and crispy Qufu pancakes.
✅Must-see Performances:
Golden Sound and Jade Vibration: A grand audio-visual feast of rituals and music, spanning a person's life. It integrates Chinese classical arts such as poetry, music, dance, and acrobatics with stage installations, large machinery, and holographic images, very impressive!
Two shows a day
Don't forget to watch the "Three Thousand Lanterns for You" drone Kongming lantern show at night!
There's also the "Nishan Sacred Show," a drone fireworks show with light and water show and music!
The specific performance times are subject to the day's announcement by the scenic area.
✅Tips:
There are free shuttle buses from the hotel to the scenic area, just wait at the front desk entrance. There are also buses for the return trip, pay attention to the departure times.
The scenic area is large, with many projects, two days and one night is too rushed, it is recommended to stay for three days and two nights to enjoy both the scenic area and the hotel.
There are many parent-child activities and barrier-free facilities, so it is suitable for both children and the elderly.
There are cultural and creative products of the scenic area available for selection at Changpingji on the B1 floor and the Sage Corridor on the first floor of the University Hall.

Journey to Chinese Classics, New Chinese Style Check-in at Nishan Sacred Land in Shandong
Taking advantage of just finishing the exams, we came to Nishan Sacred Land in Shandong for a trip to experience the edification of sage culture and to relax in nature. We flew from Guangzhou and then took a taxi from the airport, which was very convenient.
Upon arrival at the destination, we quickly settled our luggage at the Nishan Guesthouse. I came with my family, and we booked a twin room, which was clean and tidy, full of Chinese elegance. Staying here makes one feel particularly peaceful. There is also a Nishan Academy 🏨, surrounded by greenery, full of poetic and picturesque scenery, nestled by the mountains and water. Looking out the window, you see a sea of green, and walking on the shaded paths, with the gentle breeze, is very pleasant. You can choose according to your preferences and budget.
I highly recommend watching "Jin Sheng Yu Zhen" ✨. It interprets the charm of Chinese ritual and music culture, showcasing the traditional virtues of filial piety, respect, and care through the integration of music, dance, and stories. I think it is not just an artistic feast but also makes one realize oneself and is thought-provoking.
The activities here are arranged according to the time, and they vary slightly at different times. During our stay at Nishan Sacred Land for a few days, we not only visited the exhibitions but also viewed the statue of Confucius, admired the fountain of Shengshui Lake, and experienced the Hanfu garden tour, feeling the Confucian culture. The surrounding green trees and the endless sea in the distance are very pleasant; we also tasted the local specialties. We Cantonese people love food culture, especially the delicacies from different places.
By the way, now that summer vacation is here, in July, there is the Kongming Lantern Appreciation "For You, Three Thousand Lights". Hundreds of drones carry lit Kongming lanterns forming the shape of love, very creative; and in August, there is "The Phoenix Comes", where hundreds of flying fire phoenixes can be seen in the night sky of Nishan Sacred Land, dazzling and beautiful, unforgettable at first sight.
During this trip, we also saw many children coming for a family-style study tour. On the one hand, they can experience the edification of our thousand-year-old ritual and music culture, and on the other hand, they can do some interesting handicrafts, such as hand-reading the Analects, and stone rubbing, cultivating hands-on and thinking abilities. There are also some special interest classes, such as making bamboo slips of Wei Bian San Jue, which are very interesting to learn while playing.

The Nishan Sacred Landscapes are stunningly beautiful, like something out of a textbook!
The Nishan Sacred Landscapes are stunningly beautiful, like something out of a textbook!
Check-in for a night adventure at Nishan Sacred Landscapes:
Astonishing
As night falls, the Nishan Sacred Landscapes seem to be enveloped in a mysterious veil. Walking on the ancient path, a gentle breeze passes by, carrying a faint scent of books, as if one could hear the teachings of Confucius echoing in the ears. The
most astonishing thing for me was the dazzling fireworks feast! The colorful fireworks bloomed in the night sky, like blossoming flowers, illuminating the entire Nishan. Accompanied by the water curtain, movie, and music, the astonishing feeling soared to the skies. At that moment, I felt as if I was in the world of Confucius, listening to his teachings.
Following that, I came before the statue of Confucius. This statue is solemn and dignified, commanding respect. I bowed silently to Confucius, offered incense, and my heart was filled with admiration for this great thinker.
The architecture of the university hall is even more breathtaking! It is simple and elegant, filled with a rich cultural atmosphere. As I strolled through it, I felt as if I had traveled back to the ancient academies, experiencing that intense learning atmosphere.
Before leaving, I imitated the master's gesture of respect, marveling at everything here

Jining Qufu, explore the "New Three Kongs", a travel guide for college students
After visiting Jining Qufu, walking through the "Three Kongs" and strolling through the ancient city, continue to delve deeper and explore the "New Three Kongs", encountering a modern-day holy city.
Visit the Confucius Museum, where you can step into history from a thousand years ago within a modern exhibition hall; go to Confucius's birthplace, Nishan, to check in at the Nishan Sacred Land, and in the blend of old and young, traditional and modern, get closer to Confucius; pause outside the Confucius Research Institute to feel the inheritance of Confucian culture.
This is the route of my in-depth exploration of Qufu after graduation, but it is also a travel guide suitable for contemporary college students to 'copy homework'. You can learn while touring, understand more aspects of Confucius's hometown, and explore the influence of Confucius on Qufu that transcends a millennium.
Itinerary Details
Qufu Normal University➡️Confucius Museum➡️Nishan Sacred Land
✅Qufu Normal University
Upon arrival, the Confucius Research Institute, one of the 'New Three Kongs', was not open to the public, so I paused at the entrance for a while before heading back, visiting the legendary Qufu Normal University.
This university in Confucius's hometown must have been blessed by Confucius himself, inheriting Confucius's emphasis on education, to become a 'god school' for postgraduate entrance exams.
✅Confucius Museum
Arriving at the long-awaited Confucius Museum. It houses over 300,000 private family documents from the Confucius Mansion since the Ming Dynasty, more than 40,000 ancient books since the Song Dynasty, over 8,000 pieces of Ming and Qing clothing and a large number of ritual musical instruments related to the worship of Confucius, each piece bearing witness to history.
The museum's modern exhibition methods allow Confucian thought to 'fly into the homes of ordinary people', where you can have a conversation with Confucius across time, take Confucius as a teacher, and be subtly influenced by Confucian doctrine while interacting.

Shandong Kids' Must-Visit Spot | Nishan Sacred Land
Driving there,
you can see the Confucius statue standing tall from afar.
Unlike the passion for Chinese classics,
I personally went there for the 'Golden Sound & Jade Vibration' performance.
I wanted to see the combination of stage settings, large machinery, holographic images, and the fusion of poetry, music, and dance.
I must say, the 'Golden Sound & Jade Vibration' performance is indeed impressive!
And it allows you to see the playwright's or director's contemplation on traditional Chinese studies.
There are many modern ingenious ideas incorporated within.
I think it's a significant advancement.
Apart from the 'Golden Sound & Jade Vibration' which has an extra charge,
Nishan Sacred Land, like other immersive scenic areas,
offers many free performances.
Children can climb the steps with the actors,
ascending step by step in homage to Confucius.
The sense of ceremony is very strong.
The drone show at night is also quite spectacular!
During holidays, the place is overcrowded, so it's recommended to travel off-peak.
