Or you may request for airport transfer based on vehicle rental you wish to ride / private chauffeur service. Attractions - The Datai Langkawi have few attraction such as private beach with soft, grey sand facing the Andaman sea. Besides that they have private Spa, cooking class or nature experiences with tour guide. Hotels - The hotel resort is cozy. Surrounded by stunning views of an ancient rainforest. Me booked a premium room which inclusive a Binoculars. Such a perfect moment to relax and enjoy watching the wild animals from my room. Room size is pretty big and nice. They have complimentary mini bar also. Beside that, there are two pools (1 adult pools and 1 family with kids pool) Food & Restaurants - The hotel has 4 restaurants on site. nice place to chill, beautiful, large & clean. Bathroom were large and clean. Staff very nice. Guest appreciated the friendly, professional staff. Guests like the hotel management, reception and housekeeping. From the moment we entered the hotel lobby, we were impressed. The interior decor was luxurious yet warm and inviting. The family room that we booked was spacious and clean with comfortable double beds and linens. The room was overlooking the ocean which had a fabulous view. There is a kettle, a small fridge and a large TV which we loved. The bathroom was nicely decorated with unique tiles. They provided plush towels and top of the line toiletry sets which they would replace every day.

Breakfast is served in buffet style which leans more towards healthy & organic local food, notwithstanding that pastries are equivalently good! Yes, reading all the reviews, it truly is a fantastic resort. The beach is stunning, featuring warm, clear water and a tide. We stayed in a private pool villa (28), which wasn't as private as expected, so no midnight skinny dipping. It was rainy season with heavy downpours, so we couldn't use the pool much—outside of rainy season, its lack of privacy wouldn't have been acceptable, so check that out. The villa itself was lovely and well-equipped with everything needed. Breakfast is superb, offering lots of choices, with both buffet and à la carte options available. As I mentioned, we were caught in rainy season, with 5 out of 6 days of torrential rain, so aside from the spa, gym, and a small art class, there wasn't much to do. Be ready with a good book to pass the time. Room service is excellent, and the restaurants are too. The spa was fantastic—I indulged in a full body scrub and massage, which was heavenly. I sincerely hope this isn't a regular event, as it seemed to contradict the Datai's ethos.

Spending a week in a Premium Rainforest villa was undoubtedly the best experience we've ever had at a beach hotel, perhaps even at any hotel. There's truly nothing to criticize here. The staff is committed, courteous, friendly, efficient, and professional—values that clearly drive the operation. Our villa was charming, roomy, impeccably maintained, and equipped with all the amenities one could want. The two pools are fantastic, with one reserved for adults. The beach is breathtaking, with pristine sand and warm, inviting water. Dining options are plentiful, though none are inexpensive, they all uphold high standards. Meanwhile, my wife found joy in using the gym and exploring the resort grounds. Overall, it's a fantastic experience, deserving at least a 3-4 night stay to truly savor the amenities.

This resort is the only one I know where these ecosystems coexist with such ease, offering an ambiance that is both grounding and soul-enriching, while being truly unmatched. We typically opt for the beach villas, which are opulent, but on this trip, we chose the rainforest pool villas. Although the beach villas remain our preferred choice because of their facilities and butler service, the rainforest pool villa provided a uniquely immersive nature experience—swimming in a heated private pool amidst lush foliage felt like being in a secluded haven. It was incredibly tranquil and beautiful, ideal for nature enthusiasts. In future visits, I envision commencing with a night or two in the rainforest pool villas before transitioning to the beach villas for the remainder of our stay. The service at The Datai surpasses impeccable—it's warm, intuitive, and sincerely heartwarming. You feel at home, yet pampered and lavishly cared for. Special kudos to Jessica, Wendy, and Wenzel for perpetually making us feel welcome, to our butler Shahkim, and to Mustafa, Shaun at The Gulai House, Zakir at the pool, Tony, Yassin, and numerous others whose names I sadly overlooked—every interaction was gracious, considerate, and genuine. Dining at The Gulai House is a distinct experience—the flavors are outstanding, and the ambiance is intimate and atmospheric. The spa, tucked away deep in the rainforest by a flowing river, ranks among the finest I've encountered anywhere globally. In essence, The Datai isn't merely a luxury resort—it's a rare and extraordinary destination that proudly stands among the world's elite.

The Datai Langkawi raised the standard for us. From the moment we arrived, we sensed something unique. The setting among the jungle and beach is awe-inspiring and teeming with wildlife. We saw dusky leaf monkeys and hornbills daily. Waking up to forest noises and the gentle waterfall was truly magical. Service was outstanding; the staff were friendly and attentive, especially during breakfast where they assisted our children in choosing their meals. Despite the five-star luxury, the atmosphere remained relaxing and unpretentious, with easygoing guests and little sign of showiness. The food was exceptional, ranking among the best we've had, even compared to other top eateries. Rooms, pools, and all facilities were spotless. Our children adored the unusual nature activities, which went above and beyond a typical kids' club. There are countless activities for families such as nature walks and kayak tours, or activities the kids can do on their own. The guides are friendly and very knowledgeable, providing excellent education for both kids and adults. There are also many other activities like yoga, sound healing, and more that are wonderful. I saw some comments about people not being able to book activities, but we had no issues booking anything for all 5 nights we stayed. We also appreciated the sincere focus on sustainability; it's clearly more than just a slogan. We left feeling revitalized and closer as a family, and I was genuinely emotional when checking out. The Datai is truly unforgettable, and we eagerly anticipate our return.
