Golden Village Lodge

We stayed one night here before flying into a backcountry lodge the next day. The room was just OK. The very tiny bathroom had been renovated so felt quite clean although do not understand why such a large toilet was installed - it took up valuable space and was really too big for the small room. The bed was comfortable but shorter folks needed a footstool to get into it. And my biggest complaint was why were old tattered mattress pad covers used - they did not fit and hung down on the sides of the beds. And the sheets - again did not fit at all. So yes the price is good for a night but otherwise look elsewhere. I am being kind when I indicate it was an “average” experience.
Prestige Inn Golden

We chose this hotel because the places we usually stay in Golden that allow our dog were booked. The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway, but this also means it can be noisy. There is a restaurant attached, which was great for us, as we could pick up food to have in our room (we don't eat inside restaurants due to Covid concerns). The hotel and room were fairly clean, but there was a chunk of something that the vacuum had missed on the floor next to the bed. There were also a LOT of people walking right by our main floor window, which meant we ended up having to sit in the room with the drapes closed in order to have any privacy. I think the rooms in the back of the hotel would be quieter, and rooms on the second floor would be more private. (I'm not sure if the second floor is an option if one is travelling with a pet.) Basically, this hotel was just your average, 2 story, hotel on the side of the highway. It's fine, but the price is high for what you get.
Days Inn by Wyndham Golden

We needed a place to stay to break up our drive. Clean and spacious hotel (motel). Pet friendly. Beautiful views outside the hotel. Great continental breakfast: scrambled eggs, toast (great bread), fruit, yogurt, hash browns (skip the coffee). Overall, we would gladly stay there again.
Best Western Sicamous Inn

The hotel is just off the road, and the gas station is on the side. It is really convenient for self-driving tour! Hotel facilities are very new, there are access control in the building, you need to brush the card to enter the building, I feel a layer of security is very safe, breakfast is generally, but can eat.
Regent Hotel Revelstoke

This is a place where we rest on the way from Vancouver to Banff. Grizzly Town is a small town with few people. This hotel is the best hotel in the town. It is a 3-minute walk from the supermarket and the room facilities are clean. Hygiene, the only dissatisfaction is that the treadmill in the gym is leaking! Leakage! Leakage! ! ! !
Hilltop Inn - Salmon Arm

When I checked in a 'security' deposit was taken from my credit card without my knowledge or my approval. I only found out because my bank always sends me a SMS message when my card is used. It's a very long time since I stayed in a hotel which requires a deposit. I checked out last week and the deposit has now been returned. We stayed in the block behind the main building. It was a motel style room with car parking outside. The room was clean and everything worked. The beds were comfortable and there wasn't much noise from the road. Breakfast was basic, with little choice. It felt like everything was done to keep the cost down. Hilltop Inn is a cheap hotel. You get what you pay for. I will probably dig a little deeper next time I stay in Salmon Arm and stay across the road at the Fairfield.
