Sanibel Inn

After spending too much on our wedding, we decided to stay in the US for our honeymoon and found Sanibel Island and Sanibel Inn. The island is amazing, unique, and quiet compared with other parts of Florida we have been to. The Sanibel Inn was just what we were looking for, quiet, beautiful, ocean view from our room, and beautiful beaches without tons of people. The room was simple but felt tropical and the beds were comfy and clean. We loved the included bike, paddle board, kayak other rentals along with beach chairs and umbrellas set up by the resort. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful, although the staff at the rental stand were not quite as much. The tiki bar has decent food and drinks, closes very early though. Dante's restaurant is also on the campus and was surprisingly nice with fantastic pizza and other foods. Overall it was exactly what we wanted in our honeymoon and hope to come back again someday.

It was beyond words amazing! Jesus at the front desk, Isaiah at Sandollar! The Tiki bar and pool right on the beach, the spotless rooms! I can’t say enough! Our family has been coming to Sanibel for 60+ years and this is by far the best! This was our first time staying here and we already booked our Thanksgiving week here the day we got home. We honestly don’t know where the negative reviews come from, but there’s negative people everywhere, sadly. It was so relaxing and gorgeous and everyone was so genuinely friendly. The beds are the most comfortable beds ever ever ever. My only thing negative is that I didnt care for the people next to us setting up their beach chairs in the walkway and smoking and also these people taking the Sandollars out of the ocean and hiding them in their bags, going back for more. Please put up signage that it is illegal to take these babies out of their ocean!

This hotel was everything!! It’s located right off the beach. I went with my mom and my two daughters. We stayed in the two bedroom suite. My mom had a bedroom and bathroom to herself which was perfect! The rooms are very well insulated which I definitely appreciated. My mom snores very loudly and I didn’t hear a thing even with only her bedroom door closed and ours opened. Even though it is a beach front property, everything was very clean. It was great that we could use the kayaks and paddle boards on sites as well as the beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels. We stayed for 4 nights and never had any issues parking. Breakfast was really good too! And I liked that I could just text the front desk for more towels or with any questions. My only complaint is the living room air conditioner went out quite a bit the 2nd and 3rd day. Maintenance came and tried to repair but it went out again shortly after. Honestly, I’m just glad it wasn’t the bedroom air conditioning units! I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!
