Basic room, did the job for being close to the airport. The first room we were allocated was full of cigarette smell, they changed the room for us on request. We were there in September, and wasn’t given a thin blanket in the room, only thin flat sheet was given, they told us that’s the standard in warmer months. Unfortunately, we were too cold and did not sleep well that night.
The first night was bad, because you could hear everything, and the other guests on both sides were making noise, one had a dog and it was barking, you could hear the people on the street, but then the girl at reception (I think she was Russian) kindly changed our room and it was much better, I was able to sleep and rest. I will probably come back, the rest was all good.
We loved this hotel for its value. The reception staff was very pleasant and friendly. The hotel was clean and very well located, with good public transport connections.
Location: The hotel is located near the train station, but getting there requires climbing a steep hill. It’s puzzling why the hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle bus to the station. On the bright side, the hotel faces the sea, offering stunning views. There’s also a sightseeing mini-train right downstairs, which costs €8 per person. It takes you around some of Tarragona’s main attractions, but it doesn’t stop along the way, nor is there any guided commentary.
Service: The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming. They not only recommended excellent sightseeing routes but also some very delicious restaurants. Since we arrived early for check-in and our room wasn’t ready, they kindly offered us the option to use the gym facilities to change clothes if needed.
Cleanness: Good.
Facility: The mattress was terrible. Why do mattresses in Spanish local-brand hotels seem to always sag so much? Do they actually prefer that sinking feeling?
Overall: Great value for money.
I highly recommended this hotel at Lleida with suggestions to have breakfast there to fully experience its offerings. The room was modern, new, and clean too. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly.
It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the shopping streets.
Hotel parking with a fee is available for us.
Overall, it met expectations. For a European hotel, it was quite spacious, though the facilities are a bit old, they're well-maintained. The front desk staff had a normal attitude. Housekeeping was on time, and everything I needed was there. Cleanliness was definitely not an issue. During my stay, it was my birthday, and when I came back, I found a small cake and champagne on the table, along with a handwritten card. That was a nice touch!
I really recommend this hotel. They offer free airport shuttle service, and you can find the pick-up information, including the exact location and示意图片 (illustrative pictures), directly on their official website. For drop-off, you can book it at the front desk. Overall, the check-in experience was very smooth, which is perfect for anyone catching a flight.
The room was big and bright. Reading the reviews I thought it would be worse. But everything was good in general. As an unsatisfactory features I highlight the noise from the street. It seems like there was a ***** between the window and the wall which brought a lot of noise from the street. I had to use earplugs during the night, so I slept well.
There was no fridge at the room or mini-bar. It may have been mentioned in description of the room but I missed it.
The breakfast was very good (eggs, cornflakes, pan con tomate, pastry, ham&cheese). There was even fuet! Very nice:)
Location seemed not bad if you go out in the morning and come back at night. One day we had to return to the hotel during the day and went out again, and such trips were not easy for a short period.
An impressive hotel - I’ve never stayed 10 floors up before. The only real problem I had were the lights. There seemed to be a switch for each one, but not a switch that would switch them off. So going to sleep necessitated pulling the card out of its holder to get the room completely dark. Also not having trays at breakfast meant getting up and down much more than one word experience in a normal hotel. But apart from that, it was beautifully clean. And very close to transport links.
This was a great short stay at Hilton Diagonal Mar. The location is perfect to the beach and shopping. The service was wonderful. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I always enjoy staying at a Hilton hotel and this stay was definitely no exception. Would recommend to those looking for a quality stay.

KKimmyg43I had high hopes for this ”4star hotel”
From the pictures and the previous reviews everything seemed like it was too good to be true...
Arrival was average, had to ask which way to go to get to my allocated room (normally you are directed by a member of reception atleast)
Arrived at my room (104) 1st floor.
Opened the door to a bright airy room..my first thoughts were this is lovely.
Dropped my bags and took a shower and that's where things started to go downhill...let me explain...
Now I am aware this is not 5 star but if im being totally honest I have stayed in cleaner 2 star hotels...
The attention to detail from the cleaners is just way below par for a 4 star establishment.
Shower door covered in limescale (easy to put right with a bit of Elbow grease)
Mold and nasties around the outer edge of the shower door (see pics)
Splash marks all over the tiles at the side of the sink (like old toothpaste marks)
Sink wouldn't drain properly (seemed to be blocked)
Skirting boards definitely hadn't been given a wipe for a good few weeks/months
All standard/basic stuff that you would expect from any hotel and certainly from a 4 star one or am I being picky?
Then there was the call to reception to ask for some milk so I could make a coffee (kettle is provided in room)
Receptionist said they don't have fresh milk only 'powdered sachets' of the most vile tasting milk I've ever had (think baby milk/gone off normal milk)
Apparently the restaurant was closed so they could not access it to get some fresh milk?
Receptionist advised me to go to the supermarket..which is a 25 minute walk from the hotel 🤦♀️
As it happens there is a coffee machine outside the reception entrance so I found myself nipping downstairs to buy one from there. (Not the most convenient but we move forward)
I had read that there was a rooftop restaurant in the flyer as advertised but when I asked about it apparently it is no longer there?
The restaurant is only open at breakfast times so no food is available not even snacks? However they advertise room service so unsure how that works?
Outdoor pools closed which is fine but you couldn't even sit on the loungers hence....nowhere to sit outside the hotel itself.
Such a shame that all these little things build and in turn let it down as a 4 star advertised hotel.
Now for the positives...
The view from the room of the sea is beautiful
It is literally across the road from miles of sandy beaches
There are a couple of lovely restaurants nearby that are open from 12 noon for brunch/dinner and reasonably priced.
The area itself is super quiet and feels safe enough as a solo traveller.
AAnonymous UserGood location, space is fine for couples travellers.
The reception is behind the hotel room which is little challenging to locate (next to the McD signboard).
Reception is very nice, breakfast is a buffet style and have good variety of choices!
TTravel-HolicThis was the finest of experiences I have ever had at a hotel.
Even before our trip had begun, the holiday vibe had already started, 2 weeks prior to our flight.
A member of hotel reception staff at the B&B in Sant Cugat, a beautiful soul, a lady by the name of Maria Faatemah had won us over with her swift responses to our queries and concerns. The more we responded, the more our mind and hearts were at ease.
Always polite and courteous with so much manners and always ready to help us with whatever we presented her with.
2 weeks fast forward - We were welcomed with her sincere wholesome smile and she already knew who we were as soon as she saw is approaching the reception desk. This is someone who is connected with herself and showed is compassion from the get-go.
She served us as though she was the leader and she didn't let us feel uncomfortable even though we didn't speak much Spanish.
She showed us to our room and told us to feel free to ask her should we need anything.
We had a slight situation with our air-condition unit and within 10 minutes she had that resolved by giving us an extra room until the maintenance man fixes the A/C.
The second room was beautiful and I slept their for 2 days and it was a great experience.
Faatemah called taxi's for us, ordered food for us, she translated Spanish to English and she even guided us towards the best tourist spots. It really felt like she had gone above and beyond, at no extra cost.
Even the kids were saying they wanted to buy her something as a thank you present for her amazing service and beautiful mannerism.
Faatemah was incredibly professional, compassionate and offered such a lovely service that we all fell in love with Spain (Barcelona) and would love to go back, just for experiencing this service again.
Faatemah is much more than a lady behind the reception desk and I hope you all the best in the future and I hope you progress to become something bigger and better and that others are also receptive enough to appreciate you.
Thank you Maria Faatemah for being such a wonderful host and your hospitality is so very appreciated.
We all Look forward to visiting you real soon.
Have a beautiful life and I wish you nothing but the best in this life and the next.
Kind regards,
Amer Khan and family

GGuest UserPleasant Surprise in the Heart of Barcelona
Rating:4/5 Stars
Date of Stay:August 2024

Summary:
We had a short break in Barcelona this week and were looking for a clean, well-located room, and that’s exactly what we got. The Park Hotel was a pleasant surprise and definitely shouldn’t be judged by its facade—we were truly impressed.
Room:
Our room on the sixth floor was spacious for a city hotel and had all the amenities you’d expect. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the pillows were firm and supportive—none of those mushy, overly soft ones you often find in hotels. The bathroom was well-equipped, though it might be a bit tight for larger guests.
Cleanliness:
The room was cleaned regularly, and any requests we had were promptly addressed. The pool area was also well-maintained, and the shower room available on our departure day was spotless, making our stay even more comfortable.
Service:
The service was reasonable overall. The staff managed multiple tasks at once, and although they sometimes appeared a bit stressed, they were always prompt, polite, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
Location:
The location is perfect for exploring Barcelona. It’s within easy walking distance of Barceloneta, Port Vell, and the El Born district. Plus, the hotel is directly opposite the train station, which made our day trip to Sitges incredibly convenient.
Facilities:
The hotel’s rooftop pool is a nice feature, with about 14 chairs available for sunbathing. The area gets busy in the mid-afternoon, especially when the summer sun is at its peak. The pool itself is a perfect size for a quick cool-down after exploring the city.
Food and Drink:
We had breakfast included with our booking, which offered all the basics you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. It was a good way to start the day and provided enough variety to fuel up before heading out.
Value for Money:
The Park Hotel offered excellent value for money, given its location, comfort, and amenities.
Tips/Recommendations:
This hotel is ideal if you enjoy a trendy food and cocktail scene combined with the bustling beach atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring the best of what Barcelona has to offer.
We would definitely return to the Park Hotel on our next visit to Barcelona.
AAiwandexiaopengyouThe hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but the room size was decent enough, with more than ample space to open two large suitcases. And they had *duvets*! This was the only hotel among the several we stayed at in Spain that actually provided them. The location seemed decent enough, although we primarily used taxis. We found that for a group, taking taxis in Barcelona offered better value than using the metro. A branch of Joncake is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel – highly recommended! It's delicious and there was no waiting in line.
HHaidenghaimuduyuThe surrounding neighborhood has amazing bars and restaurants. Everything was great, except for a slightly cumbersome check-in process. For this price point, the room facilities are a bit dated, but the cleanliness was absolutely fine. I was pleasantly surprised to find free slippers, toiletries, bottled water, and coffee in Barcelona. The front desk staff were also very nice, and the bellhop proactively brought my luggage to the room. Good enough for me!
DDr. Julio BernalAt first I was concerned about the location of the hotel. Nothing to be worried about. The hotel is near the train station. (20 minutes walk). There are several options for dining around the hotel. The facilities are well kept (sauna/pool). The room was spacious and comfortable. Something to improve would be the operating ours for the bar. They close at 11. You could not get even a bottle of water unless you go and walk at least 10 minutes. Things that can improve for future travelers. 1. The attitude of the people in the lobby should represent the hotel brand. There was a staff person in the checking counter( I don’t know his name, male in his 30s…) yelling to another coworker and he didn’t mind if there were guests or not around. Truly unkind and unprofessional. 2. The restrooms in the lobby need a lot of maintenance. There were broken toilets and faucets. Besides these observations, this place is a very good option if you want to stay outside Barcelona.
AAwathar SinghGreat hotel to stay. Claudia at reception was wonderful- very helpful and professional. She is an asset to the establishment. All staff including the breakfast restaurant staff were wonderful. Great view from the room with balcony. Tram station nearby. All good.
JJulia LittlewhiteFirst time travel to Barcelona, the hotel looks great!!! The location is very convenient, we can go to famous spots within 30 mins, the services are quite good, the space theme is quite special and unique, only weak point is the air-condition seems not working very efficiently and the windows are not being able to open if we would like some fresh air. Others are all great:)
PPurpuraNegraThis review is in categories: Location, Amenities, and My thoughts.
Location: The hotel is definitely well located, the metro (subway) is right outside, there is a shopping mall across the street and a couple restaurants around. To get to central Barcelona it took about 25min by metro.
Amenities/Service: The room I got provided the basic of the basics (1 towel and 1 pillow per person). You can get more tru your stay but THERES NO ROOM SERVICE/CLEANING. The front desk was more helpful to other guests (who spoke spanish) than they were to me, just average.
My thoughts: I like the hotel. I would definitely stay there again, now that I know how and where it is. I am not sure how the other floors are setup but my bed was so close to the other room (thin walls) that I woke up at 2am because they were watching TV loudly.
