We stayed one night before our dive trip and one night after before flying home. They kept two bags for us while we cruised. Both checking were easy. They allowed us to get into our room early. Definitely caters to people headed out on dive/cruise boats. Good service, clean and safe.

Aston Niu Manokwari Hotel & Conference Center

After a night flight we had 7 hours waiting in Manokwari and decided to go to Aston, because its located very close to the airport. Outside the hotel looks great, but rooms are pretty worn out and definitely not 4 stars. + very friendly, helpful and efficient receptionist + clean sheets and towels, coffeemaker, fridge + breakfast: nor many western dishes, but plenty fruits, cakes, omelette - no sign for do not disturb, so just after we fell asleep, housekeeping belled us awake Alltogether, if you have to stay in Manokwari Aston is a good option.

Hotel is less than a 5 minute taxi ride from the airport. The room was clean and while the room was initially warm (AC was not on), the AC quickly cooled the room. The restaurant was good but was out of several items. All staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Hotel Mariat Sorong

This is not an expensive hotel and it is well located. But it is very poor. It is basic as the price would indicate but the place was still underwhelming. The internet (wifi) barely functioned with constant drop outs. And the bathrooms were well overdue for a decent clean. While we were there, there was a church convention. This meant that the corridors were full of running, screaming children all day long. Ok kids will be kids. But at 10pm we finally had enough and tried to find something resembling adult supervision. The hotel apologised. The rampaging, running and screaming finally died down at around 11pm… God forbid you were on an early flight and was looking for sleep.

Meridian Adventure Marina Club & Resort
4.5/530 Reviews
I visited this resort with a large group of divers from our diving club. - Very friendly, professional and safety conscious staff provided an excellent diving experience. We really appreciated the fact that they spared no effort or cost (despite the high fuel prices) to take us to the best dive sites, even if these were a long way away. Diving is spectacular. The boats are very sturdy and very fast, but the double decker tank rack in the middle of the RIBs means your view is always blocked and you can't see or talk to the people opposite you. The hotel staff went out of their way to make customers happy. The only point for criticism is that the hotel rooms are small and don't offer enough storage space for divers.
