This hotel was such a pleasant surprise for our trip! - **Amenities:** Everything was well-equipped and well-maintained. I especially loved the bathtub in the room, the clean pool, and the new gym. - **Cleanliness:** From the lobby to the rooms, everything was spotless. The bedding was fresh, and even the nooks and crannies were clean, making for a very comfortable stay. - **Overall Environment:** The location was quiet and peaceful. The hotel's public areas were tastefully decorated and stylish. The natural light and ventilation in the rooms were excellent. - **Service Experience:** All the staff were warm and attentive, and I have to give a special shout-out to Amumu at the front desk! Check-in and check-out were super efficient, and she proactively gave us tips on local attractions and food. Any issues we had were resolved incredibly quickly, and her attitude was gentle and patient. The entire experience was fantastic! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area and have already recommended it to friends who are planning trips!

My stay was initially quite pleasant. The front-line staff were consistently warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout. When a small issue arose with our travel photos, the hotel promptly communicated and resolved it, which I appreciated. I thought I was going to have a wonderful experience, but it was completely ruined by one utterly unprofessional staff member, plummeting my satisfaction! While riding the shuttle bus, we politely asked the shuttle driver about the hotel's attractions and photo spots. The driver was halfway through explaining when another person nearby suddenly interjected and answered for him! Her attitude was extremely rude, cold, and dismissive. She was sarcastic the entire time, even accusing us of not speaking clearly. We were just asking basic, straightforward questions about attractions, and I truly don't understand how we could have possibly expressed ourselves more 'clearly'. When we politely asked about photo spots, she flat-out said there weren't any, and was incredibly impatient. Yet, later we saw clear signs for photo spots all over the hotel. We got zero useful information, only a belly full of frustration and anger! Afterward, the hotel told us this person was a 'secondary employee' and wasn't on duty, which is why she wasn't wearing an ID badge. I completely reject this flimsy explanation! Why was she wearing a uniform, riding a guest shuttle, and casually interjecting to address guests if she wasn't on duty? It's one thing to be unfamiliar with hotel operations and lack service awareness, but she didn't even have basic human decency. She seemed to be working with a chip on her shoulder, acting condescendingly, as if we, the guests, were accommodating her bad mood! In stark contrast, all the other shuttle drivers were kind, friendly, patient, and enthusiastic, creating an incredibly jarring difference! The hotel's reputation, carefully built by its front-line staff, was completely destroyed by this 'secondary employee' who showed no rules, no professionalism, and no respect. The hotel merely offered a casual explanation of her identity without any indication of intending to improve. Such tolerance for employee misconduct is truly disheartening. I will never recommend this hotel, nor will I ever stay here again!

This guesthouse is absolutely my aesthetic! The Santorini-style white walls make every corner a photo op. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. The entire glass wall perfectly frames the sea; you can just lounge on the sofa and watch the ocean – it’s pure bliss. I spent ages just listening to music and daydreaming. The rooftop offers expansive views where the sky and sea merge into one. If it's not too hot, you can head up there for a nice breeze. In the evenings, I'd put on the projector, cozy up, and watch shows until I drifted off to sleep. The beach is just a few steps away. This is one of those slow-paced, laid-back beach towns. Strolling along the shore is incredibly therapeutic.

My partner and I stayed here for a night during our trip. We originally booked a room on floors 3-8, but the front desk kindly upgraded us to a higher floor free of charge. Both the king and twin rooms offer partial sea views, and you can catch a glimpse of the ocean from the window. There are ongoing construction projects nearby, including an underwater tunnel and a grand theater, but we weren't bothered during the day while we were out exploring. The construction noise was minimal and didn't disturb our rest. We had such a pleasant stay that we decided to extend it for another night. The room was tidy and clean, with complete amenities. The staff were warm and attentive, and the concierge, especially the lady who assisted us, was very efficient. The location is super convenient for getting around, with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. Overall, it offers great value for money and is perfect for couples on a short trip. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel again on my next visit to Sanya.

The location is super convenient! It's just a 7-8 minute taxi ride from the airport, and the famous Coconut Dream Corridor is right across the street. Getting to West Island, Tianya Haijiao, and the city center is also a breeze. The room was clean and had a refreshing, trendy 'Instagrammable' vibe. But the real highlight was the service – our butler messaged us beforehand to ask about our arrival time, and even brought us water late at night. The front desk also had straw hats available to borrow for free, which were perfect for photos!

I've stayed at four Hilton hotels across Hainan, and this one definitely feels a bit old. Seriously, two or three outlets in our room (3517) were broken!?! And while the public areas are by the sea, they're not particularly beautiful and lack that relaxed, resort-like vibe. The pool isn't great either, and only one was open, so I didn't even bother using it. Breakfast was especially bad – they must be cutting corners too much! My husband even pointed out that their Hainan specialty 'Zaopo Vinegar' didn't even have any seafood in it! Also, I have to speak up for the little animals. Those few squirrels are quite pitiful; their activity space is too small. It feels a bit like animal cruelty. They should be released; it would be a truly meritorious act!

An unexpectedly stunning seaview B&B! 😎 The service was excellent, very accommodating and helpful. They offered water upon arrival, and the room's AC was already on, making it wonderfully cool. Cleanliness-wise, it seemed quite clean, no major issues. The environment was incredibly serene and therapeutic. The balcony offered an unobstructed sea view; you could open the doors completely and gaze directly at the ocean. Even from bed, you could enjoy the sea view, despite the hot and sunny weather. The B&B has a beautiful common swimming pool that guests can use. The open-plan lobby on the first floor is super photogenic and a great spot to relax and watch the sea. There's a laundry room on the top floor with two washing machines (no dryer), but laundry detergent is provided. There are also facilities for hanging clothes, and given the hot summer sun, clothes hung at night were dry by the next morning. A slight inconvenience is that the seaside town where the B&B is located is not accessible by car. If you're driving, you'll need to park in a designated parking lot (40 per day max), walk a few minutes to the tourist shuttle pick-up point, and then take the shuttle to the hotel. This was the only somewhat troublesome part. I booked the Azure Open Terrace Seaview King Room on the fifth floor, which has an elevator. The room's AC was powerful and kept it very cool, and the shower water pressure was decent. The Laifen hairdryer was a great touch. Check-in is at 2 PM and check-out at 12 PM. Since it wasn't a holiday, there weren't many people. During the off-season, it was only around 500-600, which is excellent value for money.

Fantastic experience! This hotel is completely different from other budget hotels in Sanya Bay; it can definitely compete with those in Yalong Bay. The resort environment is beautiful, with lovely gardens and a stunning pool that even has a small sandy beach. There's a private path directly to the main beach, which is very convenient. The rooms are clean and elegant, offering superb ocean views. The kids' facilities are excellent, and the breakfast is abundant, making for a truly relaxing vacation feel. Highly recommend! My child had an amazing time, and a special shout-out to our butler, Vivi. We'll definitely stay here again!

We had a beautiful view of the sea from our cave-like room but the cleanliness left much to be desired. We often saw bugs in the toilet 🚽 so that freaked me out a little. The towels also seemed very old and used, so bring your own if possible. The service was great though, simply connect with them via WeChat and they will check in and share more info with you during your stay. There was complimentary afternoon tea daily, which is basically a drink and four tiramisu cake cubes. The drink is alright, but the cakes you can skip. The room package includes a photoshoot too. While they offer 3 complimentary soft copies of the photos taken by a photographer, note that they are unedited. After seeing the edited version, it usually makes you want to pay more for the edited version. Lastly, the hotel location requires a short walk through white dragon street after alighting by car, so bear that in mind for accessibility. It’s great for walking around, exploring the town and access to the beach.

Not great value for money, and the overall experience was pretty mediocre. The fact that the island was reclaimed from the sea, and the various buildings on it, are quite astonishing, but it's a real shame how many areas are neglected and falling into disuse. With over 5,000 rooms, the hotel had a high occupancy rate during the holiday, making the lobby feel like a chaotic market, packed with people and incredibly noisy. There were significant delays for check-in, and breakfast was practically a free-for-all, with extremely poor food quality. Room cleanliness was terrible; there were scratches all over the walls, and the bed runner was damaged and still had dried food crumbs from the previous guest on it – makes you wonder how long it hadn't been washed. The room itself was tiny, and when I asked for an extra pillow, I was told they didn't have any. We were a family of one adult and two children, both around six years old, but were told we had to purchase an additional child's breakfast, as two small children couldn't count as one adult. For nearly 600 RMB a night, with nothing included, it really wasn't worth it.

GGuest UserWe stayed in the Wild Goose room type during the May Day holiday. During our stay, we saw squirrels, chameleons, and small monkeys in the park. Compared to Yunnan and Hangzhou, the squirrels here were the biggest I've ever seen, which shows the excellent ecological environment on the mountain. The hotel's breakfast was great, much better than the Hilton Yalong Bay where we stayed the previous two days. My picky eater child's appetite proved that, and the breakfast restaurant offers sea views, which makes eating more enjoyable. If you like peace and quiet, I recommend staying here for two nights. If you prefer a lively atmosphere, I'd suggest staying by the sea. It's lovely to quietly enjoy the sea view here, dine at a sea-view restaurant, and swim in a sea-view pool. However, if you want to experience bustling night markets and seafood stalls, you'll need to go down the mountain, which is quite inconvenient (as I got a bit carsick twice going down, even just from the lobby to Baihua Valley, a personal experience). The resort is divided into several areas, essentially small hilltops, from which you can see Haitang Bay (we could see a bit from our room) and Yalong Bay. Different room types, restaurants, and pools are also distributed across these various hilltops. If you have specific requirements regarding these, I recommend calling the hotel beforehand. After check-in, a manager contacts you. This time, Manager Sun who contacted us was excellent; she responded very promptly to any questions. She helped us book a guide service that the hotel cooperates with the scenic area. Additionally, the housekeeping staff would call to confirm if cleaning was needed. Overall, the hotel's service is definitely up to standard.

GGuest UserDue to noise issues in our previous lake-view family room, we reported it to Gina, who then moved us to a family room in the main building. Overall, this room had lower ceilings and older facilities than the previous one, but it was more spacious. The best part was how quiet it was; after 10 PM, there was virtually no noise outside, which was great for light sleepers. I really appreciate Gina from Guest Services for her attention to detail; she even prepared a small cake for the child, who was thrilled. The hotel pool's bubble activity is every Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30 PM. My child had so much fun they completely forgot themselves, but then developed a fever that evening. When I asked the hotel for an ear thermometer, they replied that they only had mercury thermometers. How could an A+ parent-child hotel not have an ear thermometer? While an ear thermometer might not be as accurate as a mercury one, it's difficult to use a mercury thermometer with very young children who might not cooperate. Of course, we usually bring our own ear thermometer when we travel, but there are always unexpected situations, like forgetting it this time. Service: Most of the restaurant staff, cleaning ladies in public areas, and bellhops at the entrance actively greeted us, and they were all very good. Getting Around: There's a night market within walking distance of the hotel. The beach is just a left turn out of the hotel and across the road. The hotel can arrange a car to Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, which was a filming location for 'If You Are the One 2' – just ask the Golden Key concierge in the lobby. For other places, you generally need to take a taxi. For example, if you want to go to West Island, it's at least a 45-minute taxi ride. If you're staying for three days or less, I honestly recommend just staying at the hotel. Don't venture out too much, or you'll lose the meaning of a vacation and get too tired. Issues encountered in the room: 1. The most memorable thing was that my child's white socks turned black very quickly after walking on the floor. It seemed the room floor wasn't mopped daily, as I also saw hair near the dining table that hadn't been cleaned up. However, the housekeeping staff were quite considerate; they noticed we needed more water and directly provided 8 bottles. Linens and room consumables were fully replenished after previous guests checked out. But when our extended stay room was cleaned the next day, they took away the child's bathrobe and didn't replace it, nor did they replenish consumables. I had to call later that night to request them. Overall, it was easy to tell that different people were cleaning on different days. 2. There were also some hardware issues, such as the curtain and screen window switches being reversed. The lighting modes were quite unintuitive; for example, there was no night light mode or a mode to only turn on the lights above the bedside table. The shower drain worked better than in the previous room, flowing smoothly without overflowing. However, the hot water in the shower took too long to come out – definitely over ten seconds – so long that I thought hot water wasn't coming out at all. 3. For dining, we only experienced breakfast and the buffet dinner. My child particularly enjoyed the fruit at the buffet dinner and the mermaid show. The food quality overall wasn't particularly outstanding; it was just enough to fill you up, with no dishes leaving a special impression. The photo is of breakfast. Long after checking out, I realized I had left some items, but I didn't receive any call or feedback from the hotel. Although if they had called, I probably would have said to discard them, I wonder if the current hotel process for lost and found items is to wait for guests to call and inquire, otherwise, they assume it's not wanted and dispose of it? We experienced the afternoon tea and travel photography included in the package. We didn't go to the DIY activity.

TTangxinleizhenyuThe room overall is pretty good, and there are many more free activities to participate in. Two years ago, when I visited, I even caught the Earth Hour concert, which was very interesting. This time, the room type I stayed in was larger and had better facilities, and the price was still the same – great value for money. The downsides are that the air conditioning was really a bit warm, the maintenance of the beach and lawn wasn't great, and the restaurant food has become less appealing. Also, the hotel lobby now has a lot of stalls selling small merchandise, which feels quite cluttered. However, this might be unavoidable given its value-for-money approach, but I still hope they can make more improvements if possible.

XXiaoyumideMAMAWe stayed from June 6th to 8th. Despite a couple of minor mishaps where my child fell twice, the butler and the two managers on duty were incredibly responsive and helpful. I give the service a five-star rating; it was truly excellent. The breakfast was also superb, consistently meeting InterContinental's high standards. However, some of the hotel's facilities, likely due to its seaside location, seem prone to mold and dampness and could use some maintenance and repair. Additionally, the area right outside the breakfast restaurant was really slippery. I hope they can use a blower or put up a 'Caution: Wet Floor' sign there. Overall, I wish InterContinental continued success and hope to see some improvements in the facilities on our next visit.

GGuest UserThis was my first time choosing the Mangrove Tree Resort among all the beachfront hotels in Yalong Bay, and I was not disappointed at all. **Location:** Situated between the Horizon Resort & Spa and the MGM Grand, it boasts direct access to the sea view and beach. It's also about a kilometer's walk to Baohua Valley and Yalong Bay Night Market. I'd say the location is excellent. **Cleanliness:** The hotel's cleanliness is top-notch. I explored the lobby, public areas, and my room, and found it to be spotless throughout. **Service:** From the lobby staff to the front desk, butlers, restaurant staff, and housekeepers, everyone was incredibly attentive. They all performed their duties diligently and professionally, showing great dedication, responsibility, warmth, and thoroughness. **Facilities:** The Mangrove Tree Resort is an established five-star hotel. The pool facilities and lawns are exceptionally well-maintained and very picturesque. The room facilities, however, haven't been modernized; everything retains the original, older decor and amenities. That said, the bedding is very comfortable, and the pillows provided a great night's sleep. Choosing the Mangrove Tree Resort for this trip was absolutely the right decision. It also showed me that among the beachfront hotels in Yalong Bay, the Mangrove Tree Resort is highly competitive and offers great value for money.

GGuest UserOur stay in the Shangri-La Deluxe Ocean View King Room was absolutely fantastic 👍. The room not only had a spacious king-sized bed (1.8m), but also a 1.5m sofa bed, perfect for one adult and one child, or even two children. Everyone got a great night's sleep 😴. The view from the room was also stunning; being on the 7th floor, we could see both the ocean and the garden. It was incredibly relaxing to just stay in the room and play games or admire the scenery when the sun was strong. Plus, the complimentary breakfast and dinner offered by the Deluxe package more than met our needs, leaving us free to try other dining options when we were out and about during the day. The hotel's family activities were abundant and all had a great experience, and the staff were warm and attentive. The kids loved the water activities the most, wanting to go swimming both in the morning and at night. There are three swimming pools, a very thoughtful design, suitable for children aged 3-12.

AAnonymous UserThe only highlight of this hotel is the incredible view from the lobby, which directly overlooks the sea. As for the rooms, they aren't very new and the soundproofing is poor. Every morning around 7 or 8, even before I was fully awake, I'd hear guests dragging their luggage loudly outside and doors slamming shut intermittently, making it impossible to get back to sleep. The service, however, was decent. Now, I really need to rant about the complimentary photoshoot offered by the hotel; it was absolutely terrible. 1. **Photographer's attitude was subpar.** * He clearly just wanted to finish quickly and get off work. During the shoot, he initially said I could suggest any poses or locations. But when I actually proposed where I wanted to shoot, he kept dismissing my ideas, saying certain spots weren't good or wouldn't work. * After a few shots, I asked to see how they looked. He immediately got annoyed. I just wanted to check if there was anything I needed to adjust for subsequent photos. Was that really such a big deal? * After seeing the photos, I felt my styling wasn't quite right; I wanted to pull my hat down a bit more. Essentially, I wasn't happy with the first few shots. He then adopted a 'if you're so good, you do it' attitude, saying things like, 'Okay, so what do *you* think looks good? You pose, and I'll shoot.' It felt incredibly impatient, like 'either you know how to pose yourself or you listen to me.' I simply wanted to adjust my look and retake the photos. Even though it was free, if the service attitude is like this, they should just assign someone else. Getting impatient after just a few shots is really frustrating. I quickly ended the session because I was genuinely unhappy. What's the point of such an attitude when their skill is mediocre? Oh well, it's free, what more can you expect? 2. **Upselling within the studio.** They take your photos for retouching, and then during the selection process, they show you the retouched versions. The retouched photos cost money and are quite expensive. The staff there actively pushes you to choose the retouched ones and pay for them. If you only want the free unedited photos, they look terrible. Firstly, the photography skills are just average, and secondly, the camera settings weren't adjusted well. It feels deliberate, as if they intentionally make the initial photos look bad to entice you to buy the retouched versions later. It's a real scam. If you have high standards for photos but don't want to spend too much, be very cautious. The free ones definitely won't look good. 3. **Photographer's attitude varied wildly.** He was clearly impatient with me, but I saw him shooting with other people, and he was all smiles and full of positive energy. Is it because my photoshoot was complimentary from the hotel? If they're so unwilling to serve these types of guests, then they shouldn't offer it in the first place. Speechless. **Image 1** shows the sea view from the hotel lobby. **Image 2** is one of the original photos from the complimentary shoot, and you can see the lighting and filters make it look dark and unattractive. Can't they even adjust basic settings on a Fujifilm camera to make it look decent? **Image 3** is a photo I took myself, and it's better than the photographer's, and I haven't even edited it. The difference in effort is clear. Again, what more can you expect from something free? Be careful if you choose this!

GGuest UserChoosing Banyan Tree Sanya for our honeymoon was the best decision ever! Our entire experience was absolutely perfect, filled with so much emotion and delightful surprises. Firstly, the service at Banyan Tree is top-notch. Every staff member was incredibly kind and attentive, warm, thoughtful, and always willing to help. They were professional yet discreet, making us feel completely at ease. The attention to detail was heartwarming; even though we checked in late at night, the service was still impeccable. From arrival to departure, we received meticulous care, clearly showing that guest experience is their top priority. The most delightful surprise was the romantic ambiance they specially created for us. The room decor was absolutely stunning! The exquisite flowers set a perfect mood, and we were treated to a freshly made custom cake and a handwritten blessing card. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, making it feel incredibly special. Upon check-out, they even prepared a beautiful parting gift, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It truly felt like Banyan Tree genuinely wished us well and shared in our romantic joy – it was both tender and heartwarming. This trip to Banyan Tree Sanya created so many wonderful memories. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning a honeymoon or a romantic getaway. I've already told all my friends and family about it, and I wouldn't hesitate to choose it again for our next trip!
