Excellent! Perfect for a solo traveler. The only minor drawback was its slightly remote location, and there was no bike rental available. However, I absolutely adored the common areas, which include a kitchen and plenty of seating. Given the small size of the rooms, having these public spaces was a huge plus. The rooms are truly just for sleeping, though, haha. They also have an amazing collection of books! For bookworms, it's super cozy to just grab some ice cream on a quiet evening and curl up with a good read right here. So relaxing! 😍😍😍

The staff spoke perfect English! The location is amazing close to different lines of the Taipei metro and also close to the park where the free walking tour starts. I had a small room but it was clean and ac was strong. Beds were comfortable. I paid 22 usd per night so I was happy with what I received for that price. Towels are extra $$ so bring your own. The place has a washing machine and a dryer which was very helpful

Pool was littered with debris from the strong winds. The water quality was good, but the pool staff could have done a better job at hauling out the debris at the deep end of the pool. The jacuzzi was a disappointment. The presence of greenish/yellowish algae in the water made the jacuzzi uninviting. The heater was turned off and will not be turned on until the third week of November. I was there during the last week of October. Every resort I stayed at had the jacuzzi heated despite the time of the year or the ambient air temperature. If it is the position of the management to not clean or heat the jacuzzi, then the jacuzzi should be covered up and blocked off. The breakfast buffet was horrible considering how much money they charged. I probably will not stay or recommend this hotel. It’s has a lot of potential!
Location - I’m not sure if we just missed out on what’s nearby. But we did walk on the sides, we were searching around of what’s there to see. We didn’t see much, like we realized after walking for a few minutes that we just found the convenient store which is kinda far if that was the nearest available (or again, there could be one the other side we don’t know haha).
So after walking around, and realizing there’s nothing much to see. We already booked an Uber going to the night market.
It wasn’t that far from the HSR Station. I couldn’t remember the exact distance and travel time. But if I find it far I’d normally remember it and say it.
Service - it was an easy check-in and check-out. Though, I almost forgot to get a receipt. Had to proactively ask for one. Luckily we decided to stay for a bit after checking out, we remembered it and got to request for it.
I like how they already asked upon checking in if we need a room cleaning service. That was convenient.
The breakfast was so so (on my personal taste bud). Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that bad.
I love the room the most! We were happy about how spacious it is. And it has an AI box which we loved. The bathtub has a tv, the shower area was spacious, the ambience of the room, hallways and lobby. The free snacks. The brand of the body wash and conditioner. The free Nescafe machine in the lobby.
I’d definitely recommend it and I’d stay here again.
(Though I still have a pending concern that I have to figure out myself, cause the amount showing in the invoice was different from the amount showing on tha app. Haven’t checked how much was the final amount taken out on my card)
The late check out costs Ntd$1,000/hour

Just Sleep Jiaoxi is exactly as what the premise name suggested, just sleep. Checking in was smooth as front counter staffs are very efficient. On one evening, it was raining heavily and the front desk offered an umbrella. I returned it by sticking the umbrella in the umbrella holder outside and inform the front desk, just simple and efficient. I took a room with an ensuite bathtub which was surprisingly more than adequate to provide a good soak and shower while in the room. Bed size literally is very small. The toilet and face basin is tucked away in another small ensuite next to the room. There is literally zero storage but for those very light traveller then it should be adequate for small luggage and some hangers to hang coats and scarfs. The room comes with tea and coffee bags which is surprisingly tasty. My room comes with breakfast which is served starting at 7am. I must've been staying during peak hours because on the first day, I decided to head out for breakfast at 9am — and the queue was massive. I had to wait to be seated, with many other guests. The staff was very efficient in clearing tables and assigning tables to waiting guests. The food and drinks spread is adequate, more than adequate. I had good breakfast before venturing out. Thank you Just Sleep Jiaoxi.

The views were amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly. Both the breakfast/afternoon tea area and the dinner restaurant offered a very comfortable and pleasant ambiance. The chef's choice dinner was absolutely delicious; dishes were served promptly, and the service was impeccable. It easily rivals standalone restaurants. Highly recommended!

This is a comfortable and classic ********* style hotel! It’s super clean and the service is awesome! They have a mini bar downstairs with some cookies and sodas. The food is just okay but it has variety of them. We can make our own traditional local dish, and it is fun to cook our own noodles!
It’s sad that the season we arrived was too cold so the pool and the ceiling bar was closed :( But to us it’s still a perfect accommodations experience. It also close to several nice food! Definitely recommend:)
Breathtaking views of the Pacific from every room and commanding view of Hualien from the lobby. The newly renovated lobby is stunning - we didn’t believe the lobby photos until we actually saw it in person. This resort is a real gem of Hualien and of ********* fengshui in general. The food quality was unexpectedly good, and I prefer the hotel’s twist on simple ********* favorites vs. their western style food. The only annoying thing is that you have to buy a swimming cap to use the pool, but the kids had a blast at the pool and taking in views from the hot tub.

The location of this hostel was a major highlight—just a 7–9 minute walk to the Formosa Boulevard MRT Station and 5–7 minutes to the bustling Liuhe Night Market.
However, the room felt noticeably smaller compared to the bathroom, and there wasn’t even a chair, so I had to sit or lie on the bed the entire time. Another downside was the poor soundproofing. For light sleepers, I’d strongly recommend bringing earplugs to ensure a good night’s rest.
Overall, it’s a convenient option if location is your priority, but the lack of soundproofing and limited room space might be a dealbreaker for some.

AAnonymous UserThe views were absolutely stunning, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Waking up to that breathtaking ocean view every morning was truly a dream! Breakfast was also excellent and very generous, offering a great selection of both Western and Chinese dishes, plus freshly squeezed juices.
GGuest UserHad a great time! Drinks were available, and they even offered breakfast sets in the morning. The computers were pretty decent overall, just a shame there were no headphones.
SShih ShingSpacious room with well thought design. Wooden flooring, showering area is huge and toilet bowl has the cleaning facility. Aesop hair, body and hand wash are great! Though the hostel is further away from the train station but its near the food and shopping areas. Once u get the hang of how the bus works and where the bus stops are, this is definitely a good place to stay! Great view facing the tainan art museum.
MM486579****The B&B has an excellent location. You can walk to the train station, and there are tons of must-try eateries nearby, so you'll have no problem finding great food. The owners are super enthusiastic and gave me fantastic recommendations for sightseeing routes. They're always happy to answer any questions clearly. The breakfast changes daily, and I highly recommend option number one – it's delicious! The soundproofing in the room is also good, and overall, it's very clean and comfortable.
KKWOK PIK LANThis B&B is highly recommended. You can enjoy the scenery of Hualien at the halfway point. There is a terrace where you can see the sunrise and night views. The room is large and well equipped. Bottle water kettle. Hairdryer. There is also a fan. The owner of the B&B Chiang is very welcoming. Send a souvenir from Hualien immediately after check-in. And the breakfast is too rich. There are porridge and four side dishes. Mantou and sweet potato, etc. It is recommended that the boss not prepare too much food for breakfast. Can't eat at all. Very wasteful. This B&B is highly recommended for families visiting Hualien. But it’s better to charter a car to go out.
AAloh2000There are a few routes to get to the hotel. We took the hard route but the shortest way to get to the hotel when we first touch down Beitou from the MRT station. So we took the side staircase route to get to the hotel, it was a short walk, a slight uphill and downhill slope to get to the hotel. We have to go through a few private apartments before we get to the hotel. Overall the hotel location is quite strategic, we can walk to the market very easily about 15-20 minutes walk to the night market. It is near to the morning wet market too. A lot of fresh vegetables and fresh fruits sold there. Bought very sweet guavas there. We tried and went back to buy even more. Oh yeah the private hot spring tub is also very relaxing too! Overall very nice stay at Beitou. Will definitely recommend this hotel.
YYuli9Subject: Feedback on Staff Assistance
I wanted to take a moment to commend the late shift staff on the 14th. They were extremely helpful and attentive, addressing all my queries with a friendly demeanor. Similarly, the young lady on the day shift was also very welcoming and supportive.
Initially, I was quite upset as I had to wait outside for someone to let me in. Given the intense heat and my struggle to drag my luggage from the train station, it was quite uncomfortable. I later learned that the receptionist had stepped away for a moment, which I understand. Despite the challenging conditions, the staff's positive attitude ultimately made my experience much more pleasant. Thank you for your assistance!
GGuest UserThe whole hotel feels clean and okay. It's right on the beach. It's in a very good location. It's a relatively new B&B. The disadvantage is that there is no elevator. Two elderly people gave us a room on the 4th floor so that we didn't want to go upstairs! Breakfast is at There is a lunch box upstairs so you can take it to your room to eat. But in the morning we took our luggage to the first floor and didn’t want to go upstairs again. In the small space on the first floor, the owner has two cats and a big dog. They are all at your table. Sitting and watching you... In the end, we had to check out of the room with our lunch boxes and go to find a place to eat outdoors...

GGuest UserDo not choose the room with breakfast since is not a buffet where you can choose or a la carte, the will bring you something to the room, whatever is on the day, you like it or not, so for the price of the breakfast you can buy anything you like out or even order in Uber or food panda.
The place is good to chill for 2 days, because each room has a pool and a jacuzzi, the room smells a lot like pool water, has 7-11 and supermarket around but is rally far from the city center.
GGuest User1. The sound insulation is very poor. You can clearly hear people talking in the corridor outside, so people outside the room can also hear people talking in the room. People in other rooms can also hear the sound of bathing water. This is true. There is no way to accept it!
2. I feel that the bathroom and toilet do not need to be so big. They are compressed into the space of the entire room (bathroom: room = 1:1), so there is not enough space for luggage and items. Although the bathroom and toilet seem to have dry and wet separation, there is no Doors or curtains can be used to separate the area, causing the water from the shower head to splash onto the floor in the toilet and sink area. I hope this can be improved, otherwise the entire floor will be wet and there is a risk of slipping. But having a flush toilet is a plus.
3. Although there are windows in the room and toilet, the windows open into a super narrow fire lane with scaffolding (maybe the building next door is under construction?), resulting in no natural lighting in the room. It is a pity. I saw it on the website when booking a room. The difference is that the photos you see on the website when booking a room all have good natural lighting, so there is inevitably a psychological gap, because I prefer rooms with natural lighting, and I hope there can be written notes on the booking website. This will prevent people who like natural lighting from living in a room they don’t like.
4. There are only four parking spaces, and there is no free parking service, which is also a pity.
5. The advantage is that it has a good location. It takes 10 minutes to walk to Yizhong Business District and 5 minutes to reach the Second Market and Taichung Park.
