My stay here exceeded all expectations! The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right in the city center, and just a few minutes' walk to the subway. I booked a room with a view, and the sea view from the window was breathtaking, especially at night. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; despite being in a bustling area, it was completely quiet with the windows closed. Downstairs, there's a commercial district with everything you could ask for in terms of food, entertainment, and shopping. Both the front desk and room service were very prompt. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting; it's so convenient for getting around, and the view alone is worth the price of the room.

Jiaodong Airport is really far. My flight landed at 9:30 PM, and I didn't get to the hotel until 11:30 PM. When I arrived, I met Ariane (Ms. Wang). I had originally booked a small sea-view suite, but after discussing it, she upgraded me to a 270-degree sea-view room. It turned out to be a great decision; the view from the room was fantastic, and I could enjoy the ocean right from my bed. After checking in, I added Ms. Wang on WeChat. She was incredibly responsive for room cleaning and bringing requested items, which was very convenient.
The breakfast was good with a wide variety of dishes, but it was too crowded. The next day, I decisively opted for the Executive Lounge on the 30th floor. Although there were fewer options, the experience was much better, and the views were great too. The scent in the lobby was pleasant, but a bit too strong; I'd suggest making it a little lighter. I'll definitely choose the Hyatt Regency Qingdao again on my next visit.

We arrived at the apartment quite late, around 1am, feeling exhausted. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a staff member with a rather rude attitude, which left us with a poor first impression.
The apartment is spacious and can comfortably accommodate five of us. However, it is visibly aged, with noticeable wear and tear in several areas. The sea view from the window is pleasant, although it is not a full 180-degree view as it is partially blocked by another tower. Cutlery was not provided in the unit and had to be requested from the front desk, which was a bit inconvenient.
Nevertheless, the service is generally good. A robot delivers meal orders directly to the unit, and parcels can also be received at the lobby, although guests need to collect them personally. On two occasions when I had to leave early and was unable to attend breakfast, I requested a takeaway option, and they kindly prepared boiled eggs and fruits, which was much appreciated.
The location is strategic and within walking distance to May Fourth Station, MIXC Mall, and May Fourth Square. Overall, it was a good stay despite a few shortcomings.

Checked in at night, the hotel lobby was magnificent. Duty manager Zhang Hui warmly greeted me and, seeing I'd had a bit too much to drink, proactively helped me. Big praise again for her! 👍 The room was very comfortable. It had 8 bottles of water, which is the most I've ever seen in a hotel. The hotel overall is very well-maintained, and the decor isn't outdated at all. Its location is absolutely superb, backed by Wanda, facing the sea to the north, and bordering Suochengli to the east. It's a truly prime spot. Next time I'm in Yantai, I will definitely choose Pullman Yantai again! Thanks again to duty manager Zhang Hui for her warm service.

Huge thanks to Amy and Judy (in no particular order) for their help! This stay at the Sheraton Rizhao truly felt like a home away from home. Any potential issues or last-minute requests were handled, and I'm very grateful!
The hotel facilities are quite new, and the rooms are spacious and bright. The Executive Ocean View Suite is absolutely unbeatable! You can enjoy the sunrise effortlessly, and the views are stunning both day and night.
The buffet breakfast and the Executive Lounge's afternoon tea and dinner offerings were all very rich and varied. I particularly enjoyed trying the local specialty 'jianbing' and 'haishaizi mian' here – very satisfying.
The hotel has a garden at the back, close to the pier and Gate 1 of Wanpingkou. The front entrance is surrounded by numerous bus stops and seafood restaurants, making everything incredibly convenient!
I had a wonderful few days here and will definitely be back!

The room was decent, and its proximity to May Fourth Square was a major plus. The beach was just a few steps away, making it incredibly convenient. Getting around by taxi was easy from this location, too. They even provided disposable towels.

I stumbled upon this hotel with a floor-to-ceiling sea-view window room online and immediately fell in love with it. So, I took advantage of the three-day Qingming Festival holiday to visit Weihai. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and the actual experience was fantastic!
From the hotel's **exterior**, it felt like an older four-star, but once I entered the lobby, the overall impression was very neat, clean, and bright. You could tell that the hotel put effort into maintaining its facilities. The staff were also very enthusiastic, even calling a day in advance to confirm my itinerary and preferences. The **service** was excellent.
Since I arrived quite late on the first night, after 10:00 PM in Weihai, I booked a **standard king room** for the first night. It offered a street view, not the sea. The room was quiet and very clean, perfect for a good night's rest.
On the second day, around 9:00 AM, we moved to the sea-view room I had been looking forward to. I booked the **Deluxe Sea View Terrace King Room**. The room was still very clean and quiet. The interior decoration was on par with a five-star hotel (though the walls were a bit patchy and could use a repaint). Upon entering, there was a bathtub, and then the super large floor-to-ceiling window and terrace came into view. In front of the window, there was a soft sofa, which was incredibly comfortable and relaxing for drinking tea or coffee – it just made me so happy. The view from the terrace was also stunning; the sea was very clear on sunny days. In the evening, you could watch the sunset from the room. What could be more romantic than that?
The **breakfast** restaurant was a sea-view restaurant with a huge floor-to-ceiling window. Outside, there was a trestle bridge, the sea, and seagulls – the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast selection wasn't super extensive, but it covered most Chinese breakfast essentials, and the taste was good. For a four-star hotel, it was really impressive.
The **location** is in Huancui District, not far from attractions like Torch 8th Street. There are also many good restaurants nearby. Downstairs are Jinshatan Beach and the Jinhaiwan Trestle Bridge, where many seagulls hover.
The hotel has an elevator that goes directly to the beach, and guests are given an exclusive wristband. For families with children who want to play in the water during summer, it's very convenient – you can go straight back to your room via the elevator to wash up after playing.
Overall, the accommodation experience was excellent! Full marks, highly recommended!

This Atour, opened in 2026, boasts an excellent location, close to Yantai Mountain and Chaoyang Street, with many great restaurants nearby (I recommend Wangjiao Fishermen's Village, just an 8-minute walk away). The price is comparable to some of the older five-star hotels in the city center. They even gave a sand-digging toy for our baby.
Room: The room was spacious with a suite-like layout. On the non-sea-facing side, there's a bank building. The room amenities were very new. The mini-bar in the Executive Twin Room only had mineral water.
Breakfast: Maintained Atour's usual high standard. The mackerel dumplings and stewed noodles were delicious! There was also seafood among the hot dishes, and the staff working at the breakfast station had excellent service attitudes.
Housekeeping: Water stains on the table weren't cleaned properly, and the shower gel wasn't refilled even when it was empty. I reported it to the front desk, and the lady there apologized sincerely.
Overall, the location, facilities, and breakfast are all good, but the service could use some improvement.

5 out of 5 stars? I'd give it 100! This was my first time ever getting upgraded to the Presidential Suite. When we first arrived, there was a wedding reception in the adjacent ballroom, and it was as noisy as a marketplace. I thought, 'Oh no, this is going to be terrible.' But then we got to the lobby on the 26th floor, which was surprisingly quiet. And guess what? Ms. Tong at the front desk, knowing it was our first time in Yantai, specially upgraded us to the Presidential Suite! Oh my god! The room was enormous, and the sea view was absolutely stunning. Not only did it have a bathtub with a sea view, but it even had its own gym. The dinner at the Executive Lounge was incredibly delicious too, the salmon was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth. It was completely different from some of the online reviews. So, you really have to experience a hotel for yourself to know if it's good or not!

Overall, it was pretty good. First, the positives: The hotel's location is super convenient, making travel and sightseeing a breeze. Before check-in, a butler proactively contacted me to discuss my needs and even upgraded my room for free, which was a fantastic experience.
However, some details during this stay were disappointing. Here's my honest feedback:
1. **Lack of Bellhop Service:** On the day of check-in, there were many guests, and no one offered to help with my luggage when I arrived. It was quite inconvenient hauling heavy bags in. Someone eventually helped me on the elevator, but it took about an hour to get them to my room… and only after several phone calls ☎️.
2. **Forgotten Anniversary Request:** I had communicated in advance that this was an anniversary trip and specifically requested some simple room decorations. This was completely overlooked. There were no decorations or small surprises, completely ruining the anniversary atmosphere. Quite a letdown.
3. **Inappropriate Bedding:** The room still had thick spring/autumn duvets. They were hot and stuffy in the summer, waking me up multiple times at night. It was very uncomfortable and significantly impacted my sleep. I suggest switching to lighter summer quilts.
4. **Disappointing Lion Plushie Experience:** The hotel's signature little lion plushie caused me a lot of grief. It took repeated attempts to even get one, and at first, they kept saying no, which was incredibly frustrating. Now, looking at other guests' reviews, most seem to get them easily, and guests with children even get more than one. I don't understand why the threshold is so high for guests without kids. DINKs (Dual Income, No Kids) are crying! I eventually got a Laoshan-themed lion, but I really wanted the regular sitting one. The hat falls off with just a touch, and now I have to sew it back on… I even went to the kids' play area to try and win a sitting lion from the claw machine for two consecutive days, trying about eight or nine times, but couldn't get one. It was so frustrating; the claw was too loose… Now, the more I read other people's reviews, the angrier I get. 😡
5. **Breakfast Quality:** The self-service part of the breakfast wasn't very good, but the à la carte options were decent.
On the brighter side, the hotel room was good, and the swimming pool was also great. 👍

GGuest UserTraveling with my child during the summer vacation, I chose to stay at the Westin Qingdao and was absolutely delighted! They even have a swimming pool, which was perfect for letting my child swim and unwind after a long day of playing. The location is superb, directly facing the Fushian Square seascape, making it incredibly convenient to get around. My child was very happy here! It's clean, hygienic, and the service is excellent! A special shout-out to Kimi from Guest Relations. She was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout our stay. Before we even arrived, she proactively contacted us to confirm our room preferences and quickly responded to all our requests. She was professional and efficient, and even kindly recommended local attractions and dining options. Her service was gentle and meticulous, making us feel right at home. Overall, our stay was perfect. The front desk also arranged our in-room dining super efficiently. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Qingdao!

FFrom a SingaporeanThe positive attitude and service performance of the staff ranging from front desk, concierge/security to breakfast restaurant and house keeping is excellent. The classic hotel personal service with a modern twist makes the stay a memorable experience. On my check-in, Ms Xiao Jiao and Ms Xiao Cong gave me and explained briefly the leaflet on the hotel’s suggested tourist attractions in Yantai. They also enthusiastically exchanged small RMB notes with me. They also gave me a piece of mooncake of my choice (and during my check-out too). The restaurant staff is attentive, replenishing food and drinks and attending to requests promptly. Due to my lack of command of Mandarin and accent, the chef cooked the wanton instead of the mackerel dumplings for me, he immediately served me the dumplings when he realised the miscommunication. The next morning, after serving me the mackerel dumplings, he, I think, recognised me, suggested I could add soup and condiments to the dumplings. I find their fleshly cooked dumplings are even better than the dumplings from the most famous dumplings restaurant in Yantai. The concierge staff on 2 days helped me book taxi using her phone app, paying in advance on my behalf as booking via internet cannot be settled in cash. The concierge/front desk lent me umbrella without question.
After a delayed and tiring flight, Mr Xiao Gao brought me to my room and explained the mechanics of the switches in the room. There was a hand-written welcome note from Ms Liu, with 2 cups of white fungus/goji drink beside it. The drink together with the note and fruits in the room, not only soothed my dry throat but also lifted the mood. House keeping provided fruits, white fungus/goji drink and dried chrysanthemum/rose flowers (to prepare for drinking) and 4 bottles (500 ml) of water daily, with up to 14 bottles at the lift lobby on my floor, and guests can also request house keeping for more bottles. On my check out day, during my breakfast, they left at the door handle, a bag of goodies, fruits and bottles of water and souvenirs (4 key chains with various types of sea shells), together with a hand-written farewell/bon voyage note from Ms Liu. Well done The Center Hotel staff, you are a pride to the hotel, the hospitality industry and Yantai!

GGuest UserThe Mandarin Hotel is located on Starlight Island in the West Coast New Area, surrounded by the sea and boasting stunning island scenery. As soon as you arrive, you can feel a sense of tranquility, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The sea breeze creates a wonderful vacation vibe. However, there was an entertainment event on the island that day, so it was incredibly crowded.
Stepping into the hotel lobby, the elegant and grand design perfectly blends with marine elements. The glass dome and crystal chandeliers complement each other beautifully. What impressed me most was the self-playing piano in the lobby; its melodious tunes flowed under the dome, adding an artistic touch to the entire space and instantly washing away any travel fatigue.
My business twin room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking panoramic sea views. Drawing back the curtains in the morning, I was greeted by the magnificent sight of the sunrise over the ocean. The room was well-equipped, the bedding was comfortable, and every detail showcased quality.
The hotel's amenities are excellent. The complimentary indoor pool has clear, well-maintained water and is a good size. It's very well-regulated; you need a swimming cap to use it, and there's also a sauna and hot spring. The gym is fully equipped, and in addition to exercise machines, there's a table tennis room and an aerobics room. The hotel garden is charming, with European-style stone carvings adding a unique flair. Just outside, there's a seaside boardwalk, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze. Parking and EV charging were very convenient, and the staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, making my entire stay, from check-in to check-out, feel incredibly welcoming.

MMommy traveller**Location & Value**
Good location and size for the price point. The building is actually a residential condo with local residents, which gives it an authentic feel. Connected to the mall at level 6, so convenient access to dining and shopping. Corridors are very dark.
**Rooms & Comfort**
Rooms are true to photos. Beds are firm but surprisingly comfortable. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets provided. Fair warning though—this property is really more of a service apartment than a hotel, so manage expectations accordingly.
**Cleanliness Issues**
This is the main concern. Housekeeping mops the floor daily, but the water appears dirty and the floors end up grimier than before. If you're traveling with a child (as we were), you'll need to clean the floor yourself—and housekeeping will undo your work the next day. Frustrating cycle.
**Breakfast & Food**
Skip the hotel breakfast package—it's just delivery that you could order yourself. Better options are walking distance away. McDonald's is only 3 minutes on foot.
**Service**
Service is minimal to nonexistent. Asked about getting a local phone number for deliveries and the front desk was unwilling to help. Taobao/package deliveries get dumped in a communal basket with no sorting—you have to search through yourself.
**Condition & Maintenance**
Advertised as newly renovated in 2025, but visible wear and tear suggests low-quality renovation work. Concerns about long-term durability without proper maintenance.
**Summary**
Good for budget travelers who don't expect hotel amenities and don't mind doing some housekeeping yourself. The location and price are solid, but the cleanliness and service gaps are real issues.

The gym facilities were excellent, making for a very stress-free stay. A special shout-out to Danny from the hotel for his warm and attentive service!
