If you only have a day to go to Machu Picchu this is a good option, just make sure you know all the logistics ahead of time cause you have a lot of transportation to take.

Everything went great, except for the force majeure related to the lack of transfer on the day of the excursion without warning and the subsequent nervous negotiations about rescheduling the excursion for the next day (fortunately, there was a day to spare).

I decided to go to Machu Picchu two days before departure. Many people buy their own Machu Picchu tickets and PeruRail tickets, but my credit card security was too strong and I couldn't make the payment. I discovered that I could pay through TRIP.COM, so I applied. I applied because I heard that a tour would definitely arrange the tickets for me. Our guide, Thelma, was very attentive and helpful, sharing many historical facts about the place while also being concerned about the health of the group (it was very sunny, and she always looked for shady spots for us to stay in while she explained historical facts). She also tried to answer all our questions.
