We were invited to join Maria Rita in her home for an incredibly fun, informative, and wholesome evening of cooking, chatting, and eating! Maria Rita creates an easy and enjoyable space in her kitchen, talking through the recipes you’re about to explore and learn and supporting you throughout. Over the course of the 3hours, we gained an insight into how humble Sicilian recipes turn into delicious and fantastic dishes, and could not recommend an experience more highly than what we shared with Maria Rita. She was accommodating for our vegetarian requirements, helpful for our novice skills, and a spectacular host to us in her lovely home! Highly recommend!

Maria was an excellent tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about the food and went above and beyond to give us information not only about the food we were trying but also about the city and its history. We loved all her recommendations to the point that we went back to the shops and restaurants the days after our tour. Highly recommend this tour if it’s your first time in Syracuse / Ortigia!
