Reviews: Bristol: Air Raid Shelter & St. Nicholas Market Walking Tour

Great hidden gem underneath the Corn Exchange that you would never know about unless you did the tour. A very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide with lots of interesting stories and tales from the Blitz period in Bristol. Well worth it

Absolutely loved the Concorde Hangar, we spent a good 2 hours in this one section, learning everything about it. The in-house tour is brilliant to do also. Best thing is tickets are valid for a year for return anytime, good job so we can go back and do the rest of the museum. Well worth the money.
Reviews: Bristol: Blackbeard to Banksy Guided Walking Tour

What can I say about the tour. It was brilliant. Henry our tour guide knew his stuff and had a deep knowledge of the history of Bristol too. We saw lots of art and appreciated that there is a huge difference between what an artist classes as art and what the council considers art. We got to take lots of photos and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. And it don’t rain! As a lover of Only Fools and Horses, the cherry on the cake was going past the bar where Del Boy fell through the bar. Walking drops was comfortable. Recommend.

Reviews: Shepton Mallet Prison Self-Guided Tour
Guest User2024-08-26
We visited Shepton Mallet Prison on a warm Bank Holiday Monday having pre booked for the guided tour which also includes an excellent guide book and the opportunity to roam freely around the whole site after the 90 min tour. Roger our ‘Prison Officer’ tour guide was excellent. Really knowledgeable, very inclusive and conscious that some of the things might upset people so warmed in advance of people wanted to opt out of various parts. The pace of the tour was perfect and there were only 12 of us so there was loads of space and time to look properly at things. Having the opportunity to go back for a quick drink in the waiting area before then exploring on our own after was just brilliant. They were in the middle of preparing to film for Young Sherlock so that was also rather fascinating (making Shepton Mallet Prison look like Newgate!)
