It was an interesting and captivating tour. Guide Genaro, an archaeologist himself, shared many captivating stories about Herculaneum and Pompeii. These are both wonderful places to visit, and the transportation was easy. A convenient stop along the way was a shopping mall with something for everyone. The trip itself isn't cheap, but you get a lot in return, making it well worth the money!

I was pleased to see that the pick up was on time and the various groups/toyrs were clearly separated at the meeting point. The guide was speaking very good English and his explanations made the bus ride to the volcano entertaining and informative. The hike up to the crater and the meeting spot for the geologist guide took me less than 15min but I saw many struggling and taking longer due to age, heat or physical unfitness. The geologist was very knowledgeable and tge views from the different corners of the crater were impressive. I found the tour very efficient and interesting

The guide was very knowledgeable and provided a first class tour. He wore his expertise lightly by explaining everything in layman’s terms, but was able to elaborate in detail according to the interests and knowledge of his tour group. It was clear he wanted to share what he knew and was eager for others to pursue their understanding. He was able to recommend wider reading on a variety of related areas; therefore he clearly believed in what he was doing and the amazing archeological projects at Pompeii and Herculaneum. We are truly grateful and very appreciative for the guide and the tour.
