A very low-cost eSIM worked well. Except in KL, where the internet speed was sometimes slow. But it was fine for what we needed. Maybe because it wasn't 5G Ultra. It worked in the jungle and on the islands. I never contacted customer service.

I purchased the eSIM in Japan before departure, and installed and activated it there. Upon arriving at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta Airport, I turned on the eSIM, but it displayed "E" instead of 4G or 5G, and I couldn't connect to the internet. I contacted support and tried various solutions, but they didn't resolve the issue. Ultimately, since I was using an MVNO (Japan Communications) eSIM on my iPhone, deleting the configuration profile solved the problem. After connecting, I had no further issues and was able to use it comfortably throughout my stay.

Excellent solution for traveling. Used in Kenya, especially Nairobi, Masai Mara, and the coastal area between Malindi, Watamu, and Marafa. It has always had signal coverage even in rural areas, if not very rarely. RECOMMENDED!
