It's cheap and convenient. While it probably depends on the country's infrastructure, I sometimes experienced poor reception in rural areas a little outside the city center. Since my local SIM card worked fine, I think the eSIM's signal was simply weak at times. For normal use, there are no problems.

I used it in Quito and the Galapagos Islands. It occasionally loses connection. Not just in obvious places in the Galapagos Islands where it would obviously lose connection, but in unexpected places too. Sometimes it connects after restarting, sometimes it doesn't, it's a mystery, but overall it's good.
