I booked the safari tour and airplane ticket on the same day, I didn’t have any expectations for the waterfall and coffee-making tour on the last day. However, not only was the waterfall amazing, but the Materuni-style coffee-making process, from preparation to brewing a single cup, was incredibly enjoyable! I’d love to write more in detail, but I highly recommend visiting the area and experiencing it for yourself. The safari was, of course, fun as well, but I realized that experiences like this will likely become treasured memories in our life. Tanzania has many tourist attractions, but I definitely suggest adding Materuni Waterfall to your list. I’m sure it will be an unforgettable experience. I hope you have a wonderful trip to Tanzania! 🇹🇿 I booked my flight and safari tour on the day of my trip, so the Materoni Waterfall visit and coffee-making demonstration on the last day were suggested by the tour company, and I wasn't aware of them beforehand. Therefore, I didn't expect them to be particularly interesting. However, not only was Materoni Waterfall magnificent, but the Materoni coffee-making process, from the brewing method to the finished cup, was incredibly enjoyable! I'd love to write about it in detail, but I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself. The safari was also fun, of course, but I realized that these kinds of "experiences" are what truly create wonderful memories in our lives. Tanzania has many tourist attractions, but I highly recommend adding Materoni Waterfall to your list of choices. I'm sure you'll have a great experience. John was a great guide and driver! Very knowledgeable about all things Moshi, Kilimanjaro and Tanzania. He was also very accommodating throughout the trip! We hope to collaborate with John again when we come back for Kilimanjaro!

Fantastic tour! Our guide Agustino was amazing- super kind, knowledgable, and very accommodating. The driver David was also great- we felt very safe the entire route. Highly recommend the hot spring- if you can get there around 9:30-10 in the morning, you can experience the oasis when there’s not that many people. The food was delicious and the souvenir venders were very nice as well! The whole experience was 10/10- highly recommend!

This tour was more than we expected and a wholesome day out. Enock, our guide, was so caring and attentive, we fell in love with his easy-going, friendly nature. The waterfall hike was a beautiful way to start the day, then stopping on the way back to have the most engaging coffee experience with the boys at Materuni Village Coffee Hut. We learnt so much about the coffee bean process and had so much fun along the way, and had the BEST lunch we've had the whole trip! The boys there made us feel like family and I hope i can see them again some day. From there we had an 'African massage' as we drove through the villages out to the most beautiful, blue, hot spring I've ever seen. Kikuletwa Hot Springs are a serene, charming and refreshing oasis; perfect way to cool off and wrap up a fantastic day. Enock was the perfect host and we already miss him!
