Reviews: A day trip to Yufuin, Nyoji Temple, Yufuin, Lake Kinrin, and Beppu Hell Hot Springs in Kyushu.

I highly recommend this Beppu-Yufuin day trip! The entire experience was perfect, and a special thank you to our guide, Daisy! She was professional and thoughtful, the itinerary was well-planned and not rushed, and ample time was allocated for sightseeing and taking photos at each attraction. She also thoughtfully recommended local delicacies and offered tips on avoiding tourist pitfalls. She patiently answered all my questions, and the pace of the trip was relaxed and comfortable, allowing me to easily visit two of Kyushu's most popular destinations. It was an incredibly therapeutic and perfect trip, excellent value for money, and I'll definitely choose this company again next time I'm in Kyushu!
Reviews: Beppu Hell Hot Springs & Yufuin Fairy Tale Town Day Tour | Nyoirinji Temple + Kinrin Lake | Departing from Fukuoka

This was my first time taking a day tour in Japan, and our guide, Lily Zheng, had a wonderfully sweet voice. Her guidance helped me understand Fukuoka better, making it a truly enjoyable trip. She also recommended many delicious foods and affordable cosmetics. I'm grateful for her professionalism and hope to have the opportunity to join her tour again sometime.
Reviews: 1-day tour to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, Yufuin area town and Beppu in Oita, Kyushu
Guest User2025-07-14
This day trip to Northern Kyushu started at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, visited the tranquil Nyoi-rin Temple, strolled through the nostalgic streets of Yufuin, and even rode the popular sightseeing train "Yufuin no Mori," feeling like stepping into a lush, picturesque landscape. Although it was raining that day, there were fewer tourists than usual, making the entire trip exceptionally relaxing. The guide, while speaking Chinese, still provided friendly explanations to the two groups of English-speaking tourists. Although his language wasn't fluent, his sincerity was evident, and his explanations of the key points were spot-on. Along the way, he not only introduced the history of the sites but also shared interesting anecdotes encountered along the way, making the trip feel more than just a quick visit; it was a warm and profound cultural experience. (The guide was Chinese, and spoke fluent Japanese—he even introduced the country when talking about it, so I wasn't isolated while traveling abroad, which I was very satisfied with 👍🏻)

From crater viewing to warm hot springs in a hot spring village, you can become one with nature. The guides are also very nice. It's a great way to spend a day. I highly recommend it.
Reviews: Oita classic 1-day tour: Dazaifu-tenmangu Shrine, Yufuin Town, Beppu cable car, Fukuoka round-trip

Great. Yufuin was a great place to take photos. There were so many spots to photograph. Snoppy Village was adorable. My time in Beppu was too short at the end. The local hot springs were unique, with onsen tankan (boat-dwelling) and foot baths.
