Ezhou Xishan, known as Fanshan in ancient times, was named Xishan because it was located in the west of the ancient capital of Wu Wang—now the urban area of Ezhou. Xishan is a rare and famous mountain in the south of the Yangtze River, one of the first four scenic spots in Hubei Province. Xishan used to have the reputation of Chumen's East House, the ancient capital? There are nine curves in the west mountain, nine peaks and six valleys, mountains and peaks, waterfalls and jade. There are six valleys on the mountain, connecting seven springs, three ponds, one lake and two waterfalls. The groundwater quality of Xishan is excellent and inexhaustible all year round. The sweet and luscious Bodhisattva Spring and the crisp and delicious Dongpo Cake are the famous specialties of Xishan.Ezhou · 3km from downtown

Yi'ai Lake is the "Lake in the City" of Huanggang City, and it is also an urban park. The scenic spot is named after Su Shi's name for the lakeside pavilion - "Yi'ai Pavilion". small island. The lake is located in the ancient city, and the city is under the Chibi Mountain. It seems to be a fairyland on earth. From mountain climbing, you can see the scenery of the legacy lake and the ancient city. The vast lake surface of Yi'ai Lake is bright, clean and transparent. The lake waves are like the environment, the willows are on the bank, the green water embraces the green mountains, and the green mountains surround the green water, which is really charming. The summer nights here are very cool, and the nearby square is a good place for local citizens to cool off. You can often see aunties dancing square dancing here, and sometimes open-air movies are shown here. There are also landmark statues of Dongpo by the lake, as well as inscriptions of poems and poems one by one. It is also a photo spot in Huangzhou District.Huanggang · 5.6km from Ezhou

There have been two theories about the origin of the name of Dongfang Mountain: one is that the mountain is located in the east, and together with Xisai Mountain and Zhangjia Lake standing in the middle of the Yangtze River, it forms a joint water and land defense base, becoming the eastern fortress and barrier of the capital of Eastern Wu; the other is that it is said that Dongfang Shuo once came here to live in seclusion during the Western Han Dynasty, and the mountain was named Dongfang Mountain in memory of this historical celebrity. Dongfang Mountain is located in Huangshi, Hubei Province. It is mainly composed of three main peaks: Manqian Peak, Lansheng Peak, and Zoumazhai. There are more than 2,000 species of woody and herbaceous plants in the mountain, and the forest coverage rate is over 90%. It is the largest forest area in Huangshi. Among them, there is a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree planted by Zhiyin, the founder of Honghua Zen Temple on the mountain. It has a lifespan of more than 1,200 years, is more than 30 meters high, and has a tree diameter of nearly 2 meters. In addition, there are precious ancient and large trees: Podocarpus, camphor, etc. Throughout history, many scholars and tourists have climbed this mountain. The Attraction still preserves the eight ancient scenic spots, including "green pine inserted upside down, white lotus blooming frequently, iron ox lying lazily, stone boat propped up high, moon rising from the Zen gate, fairy shoes warm in the sun, spiritual spring standing out, and clouds stopping in the Taoist cave."Huangshi · 21.5km from Ezhou

Qingchuan Pavilion is located on Hanyang's Tortoise Mountain and faces the Yangtze River, across the river from the Yellow Crane Tower. Qingchuan Pavilion was built in the Ming Dynasty and was named after the Tang Dynasty poet Cui Wei. The pavilion as it exists today was rebuilt in the 1980s according to historical photos. The scenic area consists of three main buildings: Qingchuan Pavilion, Wuhan Dayu's Palace, and Tiemenguan. There are also a number of other attractions such as various stone tablets and monuments, decorated archways, and cloisters, all rich in classical Chinese charm. It is very pleasant to climb up to the pavilion, feel the wind from the river, and enjoy the view of the river. The classical architecture and the greenery here complement each other perfectly, and the beautiful scenery has caused this to become a popular spot for wedding pictures in Wuhan.Wuhan · 61.2km from Ezhou

Xishan Mountain in Ezhou was called Fanshan Mountain in ancient times. It was named Xishan Mountain because it is located to the west of the ancient capital of Wu Wang, the current urban area of Ezhou City in Hubei Province. Xishan Mountain is located on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, 68 kilometers away from Wuhan, a metropolis in central China. It faces the Red Cliff of Huangzhou in the north, and is adjacent to Yanglan Lake in the south, connected to the vast expanse of blue water. It is connected to the prosperous downtown in the east, and is supported by the 100-mile Fanchuan River in the west, with the river and the lake, rising from the ground. Xishan Mountain has nine bends, nine peaks and six valleys, and mountains and pine and cypress trees cover the sky. There are green gullies and red cliffs, and waterfalls. The whole mountain is about 1.6 kilometers long from east to west and about 1.2 kilometers wide from north to south. The main peak is 170 meters high, and the total area is more than 4,000 acres.

The Yiai Lake Scenic Area is very large, and the Yiai Qing Scenic Area is only a part of it. At the north end of the Yiai Lake, you can climb up to the Liuguang Pavilion to overlook the Yiai Lake, or walk across the unique Xugong Bridge to see the shore scenery in the lake. The Yiai Lake North parking lot is free and is located in the Yiai Qing Scenic Area, but parking spaces are tight on holidays.

You can buy and use it at any time, which is very convenient. Buying adult tickets is a little cheaper than buying them on the spot. I was very lucky this time. I got on the boat directly after buying them. There were two tumbler ladies performing at the place where I landed. Fish head tofu soup and Liangzi Lake hairy crabs are must-eats on the island.

Ezhou Museum is the largest comprehensive museum in Ezhou area and is currently a national second-level museum. The scale of the museum is relatively small, the exhibition capacity is average, the lighting is very poor, and the tour effect and experience are very poor. Many of the glass windows of cultural relics have not been wiped, and many pictures and texts are black. The museum is mainly composed of five major museums, including the Ezhou History Museum, the Three Kingdoms Wudu Cultural Museum, the Ezhou Ancient Bronze Mirror Museum, and the Ezhou Folk Customs Museum. The others are not worth mentioning. The History Museum started from the Neolithic Age to the Qin and Han Dynasties, and there was nothing outstanding. The Three Kingdoms Wudu Cultural Museum was the most glorious era in Ezhou's history. Sun Quan ascended the throne here and has been the capital of Eastern Wu since then. Therefore, the Six Dynasties culture was relatively prosperous, and the number of cultural relics unearthed in the Six Dynasties was particularly large. Ezhou is the main production area of ancient bronze mirrors, so the Bronze Mirror Museum has become a special exhibition in Ezhou, but the level of excavation of bronze mirror culture is limited. The Ezhou Folk Customs Museum is very good, and the collections are more local. You can enter the museum by swiping your ID card. The whole tour takes more than an hour. There is Xishan Park next to it, which can be visited together.

The exhibited artifacts were quite good; I've also been to joint exhibitions organized by museums like the Hunan Provincial Museum. The Kremlin artifacts here are well-prepared and thoughtfully designed. However, the souvenir and merchandise section was rather boring. I was thinking of buying a pendant or something, but that saved me some money.

It is a mountain that is recommended to climb in the eastern Hubei region. It is free to enter the scenic area. If you are physically fit, the scenery along the way is worth climbing. If you are with children, you can take the scenic area tour bus or watch the immersive experience performance, which requires additional tickets.

The scenic area is filled with the fragrance of osmanthus blossoms. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Yangtze River Bridge and the Yellow Crane Tower. At the very top, watching the ships on the Yangtze and the cars and trains on the bridge, with the breeze blowing, is very pleasant, and it's not too crowded. The scenic area isn't large; a leisurely hour is about right to appreciate the scenery. Qingchuan Pavilion and Guishan Scenic Area are directly connected by the Iron Gate Pass, which leads to the West Gate of Guishan. Climbing the mountain and enjoying the breeze and osmanthus fragrance is a wonderful experience.
