Geiranger Fjord

Geiranger FjordLocated in western Norway, it is a branch extending from the main fjord into the mountains, with a total length of approx. 15 km. The fjord was formed by Quaternary glacial erosion, with steep cliffs on both sides rising up to 1,400 m from sea level. Mountain peaks are generally over 1,500 m high, while the water depth extends to 500 m, creating a distinct vertical drop. The cliffs on both sides rise almost vertically from the water, with abandoned mountain farms hanging halfway up the cliff faces. The fjord water glows with a blue-green hue due to glacial meltwater. The landscapes of the kingdom in the animated film *Frozen* were inspired by the fjord scenery in this area, making it a highly recognizable destination among Norway's fjord landscapes.Stranda Municipality · 12.2km from Hellesylt

Ørnesvingen Viewpointis a section of Norway's Road 63 between Geiranger and Eidsdal, featuring over 10 hairpin bends that climb from Geiranger Fjord to a high point of approx. 620 m. The name originates from the mountainous area at the higher part of the road, which was once a habitat for many eagles; on clear days, you can occasionally see eagles circling above the cliffs. From the Ørnesvingen Viewpoint at the hairpin bend at the road's highest point, you can look out over the town of Geiranger, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed fjord, and the Seven Sisters Waterfall on the opposite shore, while also watching cruise ships move slowly across the fjord's waters.Geiranger · 16.5km from Hellesylt

Geirangerfjord is located in the north of Bergen on the southwest coast of Norway. It is the most beautiful and mysterious of the Norwegian fjords. The fjord is 16 kilometers long, with mountains over 1,500 meters above sea level on both sides. Geirangerfjord is famous for its many waterfalls, many of which flow into the fjord along the steep rock walls, such as "Bridal Veil" and "Seven Sisters". At the top of the fjord is the village of Geiranger, which is only accessible by a 1,000-meter-long road that winds down the hillside. Many tourists come here on foot in summer for vacation.

The Seven Sisters Waterfalls are located in the famous Geirangerfjord. It is a very magnificent waterfall group. There are 7 waterfalls in total. While visiting the Geirangerfjord, you can see these 7 waterfalls with different shapes. Each one is very distinctive, just like 7 close sisters, and it is worth visiting.
