During my trip to Yunnan, I visited Lijiang City. The Ancient Tea Horse Road was an ancient transportation route in Chinese history, used for the tea and horse trade between inland and border regions. It was divided into the Sichuan-Tibet and Yunnan-Tibet routes. Located in southwestern China, the Tea Horse Road was a vital international trade route using caravans as its primary mode of transport, and served as a corridor for economic and cultural exchange among the ethnic minorities of southwestern China. In ancient times, the people of the west loved tea to the point of obsession. However, the environment in the west was unsuitable for tea cultivation, and even basic food crops were difficult to grow. Therefore, the Tea Horse Road came into being.
