Guangyue Tower is a scenic spot in Luxi, where many emperors, generals and literati pass by Liaocheng. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty had climbed the building four times and inscribed a plaque "Shenguang Zhongying", which means that the divine light of Dongyue and the divine light of Guangyue Tower complement each other. And Emperor Qianlong went to Dongchang nine times, climbed the building six times, and wrote a plaque for Guangyue Tower. According to the "Southern Tour Grand Ceremony", Guangyue Tower is one of the thirty-six palaces of Emperor Qianlong's southern tour. Qianlong Palace is located on the second floor of Guangyue Tower. Emperor Qianlong is a rare talent in history. He wrote more than 10,000 poems in his life, and only 13 poems were inscribed on Guangyue Tower. Liaocheng Water City, also known as Jiangbei Water City, is surrounded by water. Originally built in the Northern Song Dynasty and renovated during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it is renowned for its unique layout: "the city is nestled in the water, and the water and city are one." The city boasts a square layout, centered around Guangyue Tower and crisscrossed by cross streets. The city boasts numerous attractions, making it particularly worth a visit. Admission to the ancient city is free, though some attractions require tickets.

When visiting the ancient water town of Liaocheng, Shandong, I started my day by visiting the Guangyue Tower in the center. This over 600-year-old tower is quite impressive, especially the beautiful caisson ceiling. 👀

Boating on Dongchang Lake is quite cheap. A four-person boat costs 80 yuan per hour, and a six-person boat costs 100 yuan per hour. There aren't many people, so you can get on the boat without queuing. The electric boats are very easy to drive, and the lake is quite large, so you don't have to worry about bumping into other boats.

Linqing boasts an abundance of delicious food, too numerous to mention. However, for a truly fun place to visit, Wanyuan Garden stands out. It feels like stepping into the Suzhou-Hangzhou area, with its lush willows, rugged rocks, pavilions, waterfalls, and shimmering blue waters. There are also many historical exhibits and artifact collections worth seeing. Tickets are reasonably priced, offering excellent value.

The park was beautiful, and several NPCs enlivened the atmosphere: intellectual games, dancing, and adorable tumbler dolls. That evening, we happened to witness a legal education performance by the procuratorate. The intangible cultural heritage of iron flower making was incredibly impressive and beautiful. However, the navigation route to the park in the afternoon took us through narrow country lanes, and on the return trip in the evening, we deliberately took a different route, only to find the streetlights were out and there was traffic congestion.

I used to think that Wu Song fighting the tiger was a fictional story in Water Margin, but when I came to Jingyanggang Scenic Area, I wondered if it was true. It takes about an hour to walk around the scenic area, which is suitable for friends who love Water Margin heroes.
