Quzhou Confucian Temple, commonly known as Nanzong, has a history of more than 700 years. At the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, when the Jin army invaded the south, Emperor Gaozong and Zhao Gou of Song Dynasty hurriedly crossed the south and built the capital in Lin'an. Kong Duanyou, the 48th descendant of Confucius, left Qufu, Shandong Province, and moved south to this place, and later the family of Confucius was built. Temple, for the ancestral temple. The Quzhou Confucian Temple was built according to the scale of the Confucian Temple in Qufu, Shandong, and is also divided into two parts: the Confucius House and the Confucius Temple. The ancient trees in the temple are towering, the hall is magnificent, and the monument in front of the Siluge Pavilion, which is said to have been painted by Daozi of Tang Wu, is extremely precious. The entire ancient building complex is solemn and dignified, filled with a strong Confucian cultural atmosphere. Kaimu icon: After Confucius passed away, in order to thank Shi'en, the disciples formed a hut in front of the tomb and mourned for three years, and Zigong stayed alone for three more years. During this period, Zigong mined the regular wood of Confucius and carved a pair of statues for his teacher and his wife Qi Guan. At the beginning of the Southern Song Dynasty, Kong Duanyou led his clan to carry the family heirloom "Kaimu Statue" to the south. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, Feng Shike recounted the story of "protecting the holy image": "Kong Duanyou, the Duke of Yansheng, came to the south with a wooden statue and parked in Zhenjiang at night. When the statue was covered by the waves, there were three gods who went upstream and got to the riverside. The public burned incense. Prayers, the four characters of Yanzhuan 'Lufu Mountain God'". Kong Duanyou bears the apartment of the icon. Later, "Lufu Mountain Temple" was built in the four corners of the city to pray for divine power. The icon is collected by the Confucius Nanzong Family Temple. Generations to protect. During the Japanese invasion of Qu, in order to avoid plundering, Nanzong enshrined Kong Fanhao and was ordered by the Nanjing government to protect the icon to Longquan and Qingyuan Mountains. In 1946, the wooden statue was returned to the temple, and it was treasured in the family temple "Silu Pavilion".Quzhou · 2km from downtown

Quzhou's ancient city has many photo spots; it's too hot during the day, so go out at night and you might encounter many NPCs. The streets are clean, and the food options depend on your preferences. There are also many exhibition halls, all of which close at 9 PM, which is very convenient.

The ancient town was quite quiet, with not many tourists. The architecture was very distinctive, and we hired a guide to explain things, which helped us learn a lot about its historical heritage. The town isn't large; you can explore it in about two hours.

Ershibadu Ancient Town is located at the junction of Zhejiang, Fujian, and Jiangxi provinces, known as "one foot in three provinces." Its architectural style blends Huizhou style with characteristics of the three provinces, featuring white walls, black tiles, and exquisite wood carvings. Recommended tour route: Entrance → Agricultural Museum → North Gate → Military Official's Office → Wenchang Palace → Dialect Surname Celebrity Hall → Military Intelligence Bureau Female Agent Exhibition Hall → Longxing Money Exchange, approximately 2 hours in total. Highlights include the well-preserved Wenchang Pavilion, the Dialect Hall, and the Qing Dynasty-style wood carvings on the money exchange's gate tower. The area is relatively uncommercialized. The scenic area is small. If time permits, it can be combined with visits to nearby Xianxia Pass or Qingyang Mao Clan Cultural Village. Overall, it is suitable for tourists who enjoy history and culture and a leisurely pace. Driving is recommended as parking is convenient.

In the past, the grottoes we saw were all carved into the mountains, mostly containing Buddha statues, and we could clearly explain which dynasty they came from. But the Longyou Grottoes we visited today are underwater. The huge cave has fish-tail pillars supporting the ceiling, and the walls are covered with neat vertical lines. How they were carved and what they were used for are unclear to experts from all walks of life!

We visited a much better tourist attraction than we had imagined. The air was fresh, the natural environment was pristine, the vegetation was lush, and there were waterfalls and streams. Most importantly, there were few people, making for a wonderful experience. We saw adorable monkeys, walked across the glass walkway, and rode the glass zipline – a truly immersive and fun experience. The hike was easy, perfect for families with children like us. We chatted and laughed, enjoying the journey at our own pace.

Kaihua Root Palace Buddhist Kingdom is a unique 5A scenic area that perfectly blends thousand-year-old tree roots with Zen culture, leaving visitors deeply impressed. The park's Tang-style ancient buildings are built against the mountainside, surrounded by lush vegetation and the fragrance of wood, creating a truly immersive atmosphere. The core exhibit is a colossal root carving that is truly breathtaking. The over 40-ton Shakyamuni Buddha statue is solemn and imposing, while the 600-meter-long corridor of 500 Arhats displays a variety of expressions, each carved following the natural texture of the tree root, showcasing the craftsman's ingenuity. Besides Buddhist statues, there are also root carvings for children and root art depicting historical stories, catering to both aesthetic appreciation and enjoyment, suitable for all ages. Climbing to the top of the Root Palace Pagoda offers panoramic views of Kaihua city. The scenic area has a long route, requiring at least half a day to explore thoroughly. It is moderately commercialized, avoiding noise and commotion. Immersed in this place, one can experience the artistic charm of intangible cultural heritage root carving and find inner peace, making it a treasure trove of cultural attractions in western Zhejiang worth a special trip.

The scenic area has a high forest coverage, with lush greenery along the way, and beautiful scenery including canyons, streams, and waterfalls. The Flying Dragon Suspended Walkway is breathtaking, and the Flying Sky Suspension Bridge offers expansive views and is perfect for taking photos. The entire trail is well-maintained and of moderate difficulty. The staff are friendly and helpful, providing helpful reminders. This is definitely worth a short hike for those in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area.

Worth a visit. But it's very tiring on the legs. "One man can hold off ten thousand," no wonder it held off the common people in the past. The ancient stone path is nestled deep in the bamboo forest and mountains, with four passes rising one after another. Touching the mottled stone walls, the phrase "Key to Southeast China, Throat of Fujian" isn't just a slogan, it truly carries weight. The mountain breeze, bamboo groves, inscribed steles, and gate towers make for a comfortable stroll. But don't expect it to be a trendy tourist spot—the stone steps are steep, slippery after rain, and climbing is exhausting. For those with children or elderly people, it's best to turn back at the first or second pass. In short: it's not a stunningly beautiful attraction, but it's the kind that grows more charming the more you explore. Wear non-slip shoes, allow half a day, and take your time.
